The challengesThere’s a lot to take in at the beginning, particularly learning systems and processes, but it’s a great environment to develop and the team is so supportive.

    Amazing Office, Amazing People!
The good thingsI absolutely love the team I work with, they’re collaborative, supportive, and open to ideas. It’s a positive environment where feedback is constructive, and everyone genuinely looks out for one another and encourages growth
The challengesThe only challenge I face is resisting all the amazing staff benefits—it’s definitely a perk-filled environment!

What I love most is the positive and collaborative culture — everyone is genuinely supportive, approachable, and driven by a shared sense of purpose. There's a real emphasis on growth, both in terms of professional development and personal well-being. Leadership is transparent and empowering!
The good thingsAn incredibly supportive, dynamic, and inspiring place to grow both professionally and personally.
The challengesHonestly, there's very little to dislike. If I had to choose something, it would be that with so many exciting projects happening, it can sometimes be hard to choose where to focus — but even that reflects the vibrant and opportunity-rich environment.

Toxic, over worked, under paid, with little job security.
The good thingsColleagues. We were all in this boat together.
The challengesToxic management, little to no recognition, zero flexibility. First thing I was told in the interview without even asking, was that there was absolutely no possibility of pay rise or progression. Was also told that the only acceptable standard was one which is unattainable. That was weird..

    Sep 2024
South Bank QLD 41013 to 4 years in the role, current employee
My time as an e-commerce and content coordinator at Emporium Hotels has been incredibly rewarding, thanks to the supportive work environment that fosters both creativity and data-driven decision-making, allowing me to thrive while contributing to the brand’s growth.
The good thingsEmporium Hotels is an exceptional place to work, especially for those passionate about luxury and the prestige of five-star hospitality. The opportunities for growth and development have been abundant throughout my journey here which is unusual for a family owned hotel. Starting as a porter, I've advanced significantly thanks to the continuous support from both management and my colleagues. The team culture is outstanding, with a warm, family-like atmosphere that resonates from the stakeholders right through the entire staff.
The challengesOne challenge I’ve encountered is finding the right balance between creating engaging, high-quality content and ensuring it aligns with data-driven strategies for optimal performance and the needs of stake holders who hold a strong opinion on how things should be done.

High pressure, high stress, with no reward.
The good thingsThe best things are the people you work with. Majority of the staff are young and we all get along great with one another. The only support you find is within your team members.
The challengesEver since moving to the new location in Southbank, everything has gone down hill. You will notice that all of the 5-star reviews were three years ago, and I would have agreed with them all back then. The new management has no support or respect for their employees and there is a tremendous amount of pressure with little reward. They care more about money than the happiness of their employees.
