ETC is an incredible place to be.
The good thingsWorking at ETC truly feels like being part of a family. From day one, I felt welcomed, supported, and valued—not just as an employee, but as a person. The organisation genuinely lives its values, and you can see it in the way they treat staff, participants, and the wider community. ETC is one of those rare organisations where the culture matches the mission. If you want to work somewhere that feels like family, supports you wholeheartedly, and genuinely cares about the people it serves, ETC is an incredible place to be.
The challengesLike any community-focused organisation, the work can be fast-paced at timex, but the supportive culture makes it manageable.

If you care about helping people then don’t work here
The good thingsSome staff you work with
The challengesEverything needs to be changed. The management are clueless and try to be friends with the staff. If they spent half as much time actually doing their job as they did talking about their personal lives they would be able to keep quality staff members.

There are better opportunities, its not as good as it sounds.
The good thingsNot much, the staff working with you daily (not management) are very helpful and knowledgeable.
The challengesSeveral things. Training is non-existent, if you are looking for an entry level opportunity, you are expected to be proficient after 3 days of online modules. Toxic undertone, you feel as like you are on eggshells consistently. Dont do it to yourself! Find a better opportunity elsewhere!

ETC in my experience is a horrible workplace, I have never been put in a worse situation than what I did in the 3 months I worked there. There was weeks where none of the staff in the office would speak to me and when they finally did they told me they had bets on how long I would last without quitting. When brining multiple issues to my supervisor I was told to act like nothing was wrong and everything with get better. After getting put on 2 weeks mental health leave I had a “Performance Review” where my character, personality & work ethic was belittled and questioned via a Team’s meeting. I resigned effective immediately the following day as my mental health was at the lowest point it had ever been. I also observed staff speaking down and badly on the young people who attended the office for our services regularly. I would not recommend this company for employment or its services.
The good thingsThere was no positives for me whilst working with this organisation.
The challengesThe management and the staff of this office enabled the intimidation and belittling I was being subjected to continue even after multiple meetings. I was told to “act like nothing was wrong and things will get better”

    Supportive, fun & rewarding
The good thingsComing to work with a purpose, being able to have a positive impact on peoples lives & pays quite well and being not for profit if you have a mortgage(s) you benefit quite a lot, Co workers are mostly all great to work with around the GC sites
The challengesFull time work, clients may not have the same outlook at employment as you do

Unethical practices and lack of Senior Management Supervision
The good thingsProvided a great start to the industry and provided. When staffed and properly managed, it was a great workplace with rewarding moments with both staff and clients.
The challengesSupport and proper management are lacking. Unfortunately, unprofessional relationships developed, resulting in unethical, unprofessional, and preferential behaviour from management. When brought to the attention of senior management, little to no intervention or results occurred.

Rewarding, life changing and fun workplace
The good thingsETC is a great place to work, the people are a great team that has fun everyday. There are loads of benefits also with monthly ADO, salary packaging and a points based reward system to get great stuff like iPads, phones and more
The challengesIt's always a challenge to assist the less fortunate in our communities to find employment especially long term unemployed, youth and disability clients but with great training and support from Management after a short time it becomes rewarding to change peoples lives for the better

'One team' culture in a rewarding industry!
The good thingsETC are a great company to work for, the company's values align with my own. Everyone that works at ETC plays a different part in changing peoples lives everyday and its the 'one team' culture that really makes this workplace unique. The Star Rewards program as well as salary sacrificing is a real bonus! Connecting with community and the community support fund is what attracted me to work here and I haven't looked back. Originally coming into the industry with no employment services background there was no judgement and I was given opportunities to grow and develop along the way.
The challengesEmployment Services can be a challenging industry at times, however very rewarding. The support you get right from induction at ETC, to the support of your team each day is what makes it special.

ETC is fun, innovative and lives its values which makes it a wonderful place to work.
The good thingsThis is such a great place to work! Inspirational CEO and management team, ample opportunities for learning, growth and career progression, an environment that fosters innovation in every area, a huge range of staff benefits and rewards, ADO's, clear whole-business communication from the top down and teammates who are genuine, empathetic and achieve amazing results while still having fun along the way. It's a company that lives it's values of Respect, Integrity, Success and Empowerment and is one of the best places I have ever worked.
The challengesIt's fast-paced and busy which is great as no two days are the same and you never get bored.... but you have to keep on your A-game! There is also a lot to learn when you first start but the induction process, training and support is exceptional.

The challengesInduction training can be a lot if you are fresh in the industry but there is plenty of training and support available to help you through.

The good thingsA great company to work for a place where you feel appreciated and encouraged by management and given the ability to think outside the box a strong team environment which allows you to bounce ideas of each other.

A job with excellent room for progression. A fantastic senior management team who embrace and encourage a fun team culture and recognise their employees hard work. I also greatly appreciate their transparency.
The good thingsETC is an excellent company to work for. The company culture and "one team" focus makes working there a very positive experience. ETC encourages career development and are all about promoting from within. If you show a drive and passion, you will be recognised for it. Feedback is always welcomed and valued. Management take on board suggestions for improvement and appreciate innovative ideas.
The challengesA very busy environment with a lot of conflicting priorities, this however is a direct reflection of the jobactive contract and is something that management have little impact on.

I have had such a positive Bright and Positive experience while working with ETC. From Starting as an Administration Trainee not knowing what I was wanting to do for a career to now being a Team Leader, I had such amazing support from all my members and most importantly my managers. I could not have succeed this far in my career without the support and determination my managers put in to me pushing to get to the position I am now in
The good thingsWorking for ETC has so many benefits such as ADO'S, Star Rewards and Salary packaging but what really makes ETC stand out is the family culture they bring to welcoming new staff on board, you have constant support and never have to worry about getting assistance from another employee
