Unfortunately my time there was only around 6 month due to the merger with channel nine, the working conditions were extremely poor and expectations from management was extremely unrealistic. Toxic environment, steer clear.
The good thingsThe clients I was working were lovely and generally understanding of the politics within the organisation
The challengesThe low staff morale and negativity.

Where the blind lead a factory line of misery
The good thingsBeing able to add a national brand to my resume.
The challengesFactory line environment where in and out with no care for the end client and with most work offshored to India. No matter how much you work you produce nothing is ever enough with an expectation of more and more until everyone burned out. Management found their way to this position through pure luck rather than skill.

Nice company, nice people & interesting work - limited pay and opportunities
The good thingsGreat team with interesting work
The challengesConstant restructuring and poor communication between Nine & ex-Fairfax. Salary is really poor. There can be career opportunities, but there is no standard procedure for hiring & promotions, so practices vary greatly within the company and can be unfair.

Great iconic company but after a point it’s a harder climb up the ladder deterred not by opportunity but by processes and people
The good thingsWork life balance is good, lots of good work going on so the opportunity to learn and grow
The challengesSo many changes - constant shifts, redundancies. Change is not communicated well. Favouritism exists.
