Great culture at GJ Gardner Melbourne Inner North West team
The good things- Collaborative culture and commitment to quality - Great team - Supportive owners - Varied work and structured processes in place - The opening of the new show home is top notch - Clients, suppliers and partners have positive things to say about the team, which tells me a lot
The challengesI’ve only been with the company for a few months but it was busy from the get go, which I like. So far it’s been great. A lot to learn but the team has put in place standard processes and is open to continuous improvement.

World-Class Franchise System and Exceptional Culture
The good thingsAs the Franchise Development Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, my experience at GJ Gardner Homes is exceptional. This is a five-star company operating a world-class, robust franchise system with a strong reputation for quality and a supportive, ambitious culture. My role is highly rewarding, as I leverage this proven platform to onboard future business owners and drive strategic expansion across the region. A truly excellent place to build your career and enjoy real autonomy.
The challengesAs an organization focused on rapid and strategic growth, the pace can be challenging, its a long sale cycle to sell Franchise Business.

I lOVE my job and am so glad I am part of the Tweed/Ballina GJ's team!
The good thingsProfessional, hard working, welcoming team with high standards and great teamwork. Business owners value their employees and we just all want to achieve great things together!
The challengesIt's a new industry for me so lots to learn about construction and associated compliance but I am relishing the challenge. No other major challenges because there is just so much work and effort put into getting in front of most known potential challenges and learning all the time for constant improvement. Every industry has some difficult customers here and there but there is always support, training and consultation where needed.

The good thingsMany great things to say about the GJ Gardner Team, especially Sydney South. The Team has been supportive from day one and made me feel welcome into their family. No matter how tough a project can be or all the little things that pop up along the way I can always rely on the team to assist and help me learn.
The challengesA lot of new avenues and procedures to learn.

A challenging and incredibly rewarding role requiring where you're guiding your customers through the build process from an idea on paper to handing over their dream home!
The good thingsFace to face interaction with people who are entrusting you with the biggest purchase of their lives. It's so rewarding.
The challengesThere is a lot of juggling tasks and overtime is required to get through the work, but it's well worth it, and extremely rewarding.

It is refreshing to be valued no matter your job title by a Management team who value every employees role in the business.
The good thingsGJG Parramatta, a progressive and rapidly growing business that prides themselves on being fair and honest. Management has created a wonderful culture and have given all staff a voice.
The challengesThere are no real challenges, just normal road blocks created by external entities that can’t normally be bypassed because it’s the nature of the business!

    Wouldn’t recommend.
The good thingsThe type of work, majority of the staff, working with the local community
The challengesThe management team is a nightmare. Absolutely no support and everything is swept under the rug so they don’t have to deal with it. Massive turnover of staff which in itself is evident to the type of company it is. Also, the company policy is ‘work hard, play hard’. They expect you to put 60+ hours in a week and then berate you if you don’t party as hard as they want you to. Wouldn’t recommend this company to a person that has a family or other responsibilities as you won’t have flexibility.

Great team, great culture, awesome people, its always alot of laughs, but we all work hard as well. 10/10!
The good thingsLove our little Newcastle office team! The Franchisee's are really awesome people. They work hard. Work/life balance is amazing which is great considering I have a 5 year old starting at school this year. Close to home so the commute is awesome. 10 mins to get to work and home. My salary is great - alot better and more than where I used to work.
The challengesClients are the main challenge in my role.

    Wouldn't recommend
The good thingsConsistent training & development
The challengesTraining & development was done by head office and didn't address local challenges. Working for an office in area that GJ was not well known was a massive struggle and nothing of impact was done to address this. Also had too many sales staff employed which made it extremely competitive & nasty.

Truly an exceptional company, diverse, nurturing and professional
The good thingsAmazing people and culture. You often hear people talk it up during the interview process and then it turns out to be not true. GJ Gardner is the opposite, the nurturing and culture are so much more than I expected. Everyone employed is the best in the business and you know you will be working with like minded people.
The challengesThe business on a whole is so much larger globally than I thought, lots of names and people to get to know. This challenge is only short term however, whilst I learn and train with the teams.

There are endless opportunities to continue learning and grow throughout the business and the love and support from not only the owners but the staff as a whole is truly ground breaking.
