A great place to work with a positive culture and room to grow.
The good thingsI really appreciate the supportive team environment and the opportunities for professional growth. The management is approachable, and I feel valued for my contributions.
The challengesSometimes the workload can be a bit overwhelming, especially during peak periods, and there could be improvements in communication between departments.

Left due to toxic environment, micromanagement & no trust
The good thingsCan't think of anything.
The challengesA very challenging work environment with low staff morale. I felt concerns were not always welcomed by leadership, and the level of micromanagement for was a significant challenge. Trust was compromised impacting my decision to move on.

    Nil morale and toxic.
    The good thingsGet paid fortnightly.
The challengesToxic management. Don’t deliver on flexibility like they claim on their website. Organisational morale is rock bottom.

I would highly recommend this workplace to others as a well paying, supportive and flexible place to work.
The good thingsFantastic work life balance and flexibility of hours, with a generous working from home policy. Managers are approachable, supportive and collaborative and care about the organisations success. Work is varied and interesting with many opportunities for development or changing job roles. A great employee assistance program is offered with access to psychological and financial planning support. Remuneration is generous compared to other organisations in the rural setting. The organisation's commitment to inclusivity and diversity ensures everyone is respected and can be themselves in the workplace.
The challengesManagement in the past have been challenging to work with but it's great to see a new management team on board over the past five or so years who do a great job of balancing what is best for the organisation with caring and supporting it's employees. Employee benefits program is limited due to being a government organisation with restrictions on what can be provided.

I very challenging and toxic environment. Felt very excluded.
The good thingsSome lower level employees care about the customers
The challengesNot trusting management. Feeling like you can't put in an official complaint for fear of being labelled a trouble maker. The approval process is flawed and takes too long. Confidential conversations not kept confidential.

Horrible. Don't do it to yourself
The good thingsWorking from home but all State Gov does this
The challengesManagement. Since transformation they have somehow employed worse managers. They have zero experience, make decisions that exclude staff and the majority of them will walk all over their staff to make themselves look like they know what they're doing.

good for the income, but you have to wait for someone to quit if you want to move up.
The good thingsHybrid working depending on role
The challengesmanagement and culture is stale, most of the employees have limited life experience and this is reflected throughout the toxic behind-the-back bickering work enviroment.

Terrible place to work. Would not recommend for stability and security. Look elsewhere
The good thingsGoing home for lunch. Some of my co workers
The challengesManagement are petty and hard to communicate with. Unapproachable Large turnover of staff. Instead of employing people as ongoing full time positions, they choose 6 month contracts and pay less. No opportunity for growth Toxic School yard behaviour

Not bad for the local employees but not very good for the non-residents in the long term.
The good things1. Good for early years of engineering experience. 2. Good name and reputation in the industry which adds points to your CV. 3. A wide range of assets to work on and gain experience.
The challenges1. Remoteness of the area and shortage of amenities. 2. A low standard of workplace facilities. 3. Going through restructuring due to challenges in keeping the balance between the revenue and the cost of the delivered water to the local customers of water (farmers).
