    The good thingsGreat team here at Blacktown, we work harmoniously and help each other out. No complaints so far everything is going smoothly.
    The challengesTo be honest I haven't experienced any difficulties at this stage. Its important to note that I have only been with Gregory Jewellers for 1 month though, so I have had a limited exposure to adverse conditions and situations.

    The good thingsBeautiful jewellery, lovely helpful team and peaceful safe working environment. Working closely with the Gregory family and plenty of opportunities for training and learning.
    The challengesThe computer systems used are a bit outdated and complicated, would be better if they were more intuitive and integrated

    The good thingsWhat I like most is the supportive team and open communication. As an MBA student, it’s inspiring to see business concepts in action. I’ve learned so much about luxury sales, professionalism, and teamwork in a respectful work culture.
    The challengesLike in any sales environment, there can occasionally be grey areas around ownership of sales. However, the approachable leadership and respectful culture make it easy to communicate and focus on growth and teamwork.

    Working at Gregory Jewellers has been an excellent career choice to-date, allowing me to become a more confident salespeson in a friendly, vibrant workplace environment.
    The good thingsThe staff are extremely helpful and encouraging at all times, ensuring I am able to confidently serve customers with the correct information. Very family-oriented business which also allows for a healthy environment in the stores.
    The challengesHard to keep track of all the items in the store and the new watch releases which occur quite frequently, but the store manager and CEOs do well to ensure we are up-to-date with this information.

    The good thingsGreat as a step into the luxury world, training for products and pieces is provided throughout the year.
    The challengesUnrealistic store and individual targets, no appreciation if you achieve or exceed your targets. Some good incentives but not equally distributed in the company or across stores. Christmas time you are obliged to work ridiculous extra hours with no bonus or rewards!! Too many people to report to as multiple people monitor you. A lot of difficult and rude customers to deal with.

    The good thingsThe workplace was diverse and provided equal opportunity. There were a lot of incentives which made training rewarding. The owners are very approachable.
    The challengesThe POS training system was down when i first commenced. However, the former employees and managers helped me learn in store, and were very patient and caring towards me.

    It was great in all aspects until head office changed internally.
    The good thingsIn store environment can be great if there’s no gossip, arguing or competition. Some customers are lovely. Training is good & on going throughout your time there. Good training events hosted by watch brands.
    The challengesUpper management. Unrealistic store & individual targets. Other stores are mostly unwilling to help in times of desperation. Dealing with difficult customers with little to no help from senior management. Yearly targets often get little awards even if achieved. Hard to compete with other retailers in terms of value/ price.

    The good thingsMeeting diversity of people. Great products and friendly team environments! Gregory Jewellers is a historical company who have been successfully operating for 50 years. They are going through a transition period and are negotiating all the challenges & obstacles that present themselves in times of change. Despite this difficult phase their compassion and support towards their employees shines through in times of need. It is a pleasure to be employed by Gregory Jewellers and I wish them all the best in their future development & endeavours.

    The good thingsGreat family environment. The training that I have received is above and beyond any previous training that was provided to me in the jewellery industry. With Gregory Jewellers still being family owned and operated, you are welcomed into the family fold. The family take pride in each jewellery piece that is produced in their workshop for their boutique stores.
