    Look somewhere else for a job
    The good thingsThe only good thing about working here was the women I worked with. The owner would yell at his staff over his mistakes. In less than a month three people including the manager quit.

    The good thingsI cannot think of one single good thing that came out of this as I was in tears most days.
    The challengesGiving us our legal lunch breaks especially during 14 hour days, not yelling at staff aggressively across the room.

    Unfriendly work place unexcceptable Unexcceptable KPIs can never be reach unless you have more hours . Average workplace ,due floor being uneven bad for your legs . Owners never acknowledge staff in salon how the salon needs a make over always looks dirty . Every week you must log onto LAB a company training manager on line do modules.. average support. Not good enough ,in looking after staff and customers when complaints are addressed. Would not recommend working for Hairhouse as its for the young generation. Its hussle hussle every day to sell more . Every one is put on casual or part-time, only person full-time os the manager. Gossip and Unexcceptable meetings every day . You cant use your own equipment .

    Hairhouse is amazing company to work for. I have now been here for 15 years and was able to work my way up from a hair and beauty advisor to the position I am in now. The company has such a great culture, has flexibality, you are well looked after.
    The good thingsLove the support you get from the Hairhouse. They have amazing people in all different sectors in their head office working towards the same goals. We get so much support instores
    The challengesI have been apart of the business now for 15 years, I wouldnt be here for this long if there was something really bad.

    Its a fast paced business, it keeps moving and is always offering learning and development opportunities. It a business that rewards by offering experience that enhance your skills.
    The good thingsIn my day to day role I get to interact with all functions of the company. I can say all stake holders are friendly, fun and professional. The Senior management and HR team take on all feedback with a willingness to be the best and/or strive for the best outcome! This is a very generous and welcoming company to work for. There are also many social events for team members to participate in. I highly rate anyone who is interested in caring for people and business to apply for positions within the Hairhouse group.
    The challengesChallenges can come up from time to time. I believe if challenges don't exist we don't have anything to learn or contribute. Whatever the challenge is on a given day within Hairhouse, we always find the solutions as a team, together.

    I’ve been with Hairhouse since 2013, I’ve received my qualifications in both Retail and Hairdressing which has given me many more opportunities within the retail and hair world. I love coming to work helping people with their needs and making people feel a sense of purpose after having their hair done and receiving the right products for themselves. I love how we aren’t just a salon but also have retail with a massive selection of brands and electrical hair tools. Hairhouse is the place to be.

    The challengesStarted working during lockdown, and it has been difficult getting to meet everyone in person, but the company has been very proactive with social gatherings, and we are now back in the office a few days a week, which has helped immensely.

    The good thingsLots of support from the head office support team, plenty of training available from online modules, in store training with suppliers & on-site training with partner brands. Lots of pathways you can take within the business to expand your learning & career pathway.
    The challengesN/A - after 6 years of working for Hairhouse I have to say they are a strong resilient brand, they have adapted well during the Covid challenges.

    Good job for part time roles, suitable for mums with hairdressiing backgrounds wanting to stay in the industry but not work on the floor.

    The challengesPoor pay for hair and beauty advisors considering they need a hairdressing qualification. The pay is lower than a Coles checkout operator.
