This is a company that expects blood from a stone. They're shocking to work for.
The good thingsI have nothing good to say about the company.
The challengesFrom empty promises to straight out lies - do not believe a word management say. They'll tell you what you want to hear then throw you to the wolves.

The lack of communication from management is astounding. They will not answer your calls, regardless of time of day, and they will not hesitate to cancel your shifts if you don’t go along with their ridiculous demands.
    The good thingsInteraction with customers.
The challengesThey throw you in the deep end with no real training and leave trainees on shift unsupervised.

Horrible management culture and terrible company to work for.
The good thingsThe staff discounts were amazing but you would be required to spend money out of your pay every week for the newest set to wear in store.
The challengesIn heels all day, even on an 8 hour shift

Empowering customers should start from empowered work staff - here HB falls short
The good thingsThe relationships you develop with the girls you work with are one of a kind, definitely what kept me there for so long
The challengesOverall a terrible company to work for, the expectations you carry are that of a manager even when you are a casual, there’s no commission for large sales and the ‘cult’ like attitude within management is incredibly toxic. Overall you are expected to live and breathe the brand, which becomes consuming in and out of work. Also an unimaginably high expectation of how you are meant to look/act.

Worst decision I ever made was working for this company.
The good thingsThe pretty uniform, wage and discounts.
The challengesManagement can be very challenging to deal with. The constant need to wear stilettos and the constant fear you're going to get fired if you don't hit the impossible targets.

No job security, little respect and lots of nastiness and unrealistic expectations from head office. Do not work for this company.
The good thingsBeautiful product, met some lifelong friends, awesome staff discount, cool incentives and some incredible customers.
The challengesManagement and HQ's treatment of staff is incredibly poor, there is no respect for anybody regardless of position if you're not hitting KPI's every single week - there is too much expected of staff for very average wage/salary and for a retail position that doesn't give commission for personal sales and hitting ridiculous budgets.

Life changing - in the best way!
The good thingsThe Honey culture! The product. The team. I genuinely woke up each day wanting to put on my red lips and head into store.
The challengesHoney Birdette challenges you to be better - sometimes the sales targets can be tough, but the reward upon achieving them is excellent. Made a huge difference to my confidence and self-worth.

Not a very nice company to work for.
The good thingsworked with some amazing girls and made some great friends.
The challengesUnfair treatment of staff, especially casuals. Unrealistic expectations on managers and area managers. It was challenging not having support from people in higher positions than myself (other than my area manager). Extremely high turnover of staff reflects this.
