Walk on by. No deal. Not sure what else to say except look elsewhere!0
The good thingsTeaching staff and support staff.
The challengesFinding enjoyment in a role where you are ignored and issues are covered up. Work as hard as you like, it will not be rewarded.

    Rewarding work, but unsustainable practice
The good thingsThe work itself is meaningful and there's genuine pride in contributing to a wonderful school community. Teachers and colleagues at the team level are exceptionally dedicated and passionate, which shows in the work they produce and teach.
The challengesAs a growing school, workload expectations are significantly misaligned with available resources and staffing levels. Chronic overwork is normalised rather than addressed. Leadership decision-making can feel disconnected from the day-to-day realities staff face, and there is limited appetite for addressing issues when raised.

A dynamic and supportive school where staff are empowered to grow, lead, and make a real impact.
The good thingsThe sense of community and support at Hume Anglican Grammar – Donnybrook is exceptional. Staff are trusted as professionals, leadership is approachable and responsive, and there’s a genuine culture of collaboration. Opportunities for growth and leadership are encouraged, and initiatives are often staff-driven, which creates a strong sense of ownership and purpose.
The challengesWith growth comes growing pains. At times, workload pressures increase as new expectations are introduced, and communication between campuses can be inconsistent.

Without question the best school I have ever taught in. Would not hesitate to recommend to any highly skilled teacher looking for a change. Worth the drive if you don't live nearby.
The good thingsSupportive, knowledgeable; and highly professional leadership; great colleagues; families who care about education; beautiful new facilities; overall optimistic outlook; plenty of opportunity to progress if wanted; above average salary.
The challengesNo significant weaknesses, but class sizes can be large at primary, but are well supported. Rapidly growing multi-campus means you don't know all colleagues. There are occasionally instances where the school is overly image conscious (to be fair, there's good reason for this and it has been effective in marketing the school)

It's great to part of something exciting, we are always provided opportunities and I feel that the part I play is valued. I am very happy at this school.
The good thingsIt's a growing school so there are many opportunities for advancement (if that's what you want). Fellow staff are friendly, supportive and collegial. The students are motivated, and want to do their best, with parents who share the school's direction.
The challengesBecause the school is growing quickly there is much to do. But because the staff are motivated and wish to always do their best, we work well together to tackle the challenges.

A warm, joyful school with students who really want to learn - great place to be a teacher.
The good thingsSuperb student behaviour, excellent and dynamic colleagues. Lots of friendly staff and an impressive leadership team who are approachable. It's a growing school with lots of opportunity. Students greet teacher with a smile, want to learn and are grateful for the experience they have at the school.
The challengesIt is a growing school and while this creates and exciting feel about the place, it does require some flexibility and openness to collaboration including with staff on a different campus.

    The absolute worst school.
The good thingsSome staff are lovely.
The challengesThe school leadership is abhorrent. The method in which the school is run is one of distrust staff are left confused and constantly questioning themselves. The worst workplace I have ever experienced.

At Hume Anglican, the needs of the students, and their wellbeing are the priorities, which helped me rediscover my joy in teaching young children.
The good thingsFriendly and very supportive and flexible
The challengesIt’s a large campus, and I am disabled, so it’s a challenge to move around, but they are very adaptable to my needs.

The most poorly run and resourced educational facility I have work in in my 13 years of teaching.
The good thingsCo-workers and students were friendly.
The challengesManagement don’t care for opinions of staff, don’t listen to their management, and deny that their leadership and strategy is anything less than perfect.

A rewarding and supportive place to work!
The good thingsAn exciting place to work, no two days are the same! The staff are incredibly dedicated and leadership values professional development very highly. Everyone is passionate about the work they do and the change they are initiating in students' lives.
The challengesAs a young school, Hume Grammar is presented with challenges that will be overcome with the dedication and collaboration of the school's staff and students.

    Supportive and team approach
The good thingsI was in the primary school and it has such a positive feel. There is a real collaborative approach and the leadership treats everyone the same and shows a real sense of team spirit. You always feel supported. The kids are awesome. I was mainly in the lower primary, but the upper primary seemed just as good
The challengesA lot of work and it is quite demanding, however they treat you well Staff are lovely (don't know about the Secondary school) Always feel part of a team

Great school with ambition. Don’t understand other reviews. Being a small school they are still growing but are over subscribed now in most year groups and have a waiting list for many year groups. Yes they are on a little catch up with teaching and learn
The good thingsSupportive staff and management Students Ambitious Vision to improve
    The challengesRelatively new school Windy

This was a great place to work with fellow staff, but get everything in writing or record and confirm what was said.
The good thingsThe environment is good as are the staff, but the management and politics of this school is just ludicrous at times. On a clear day you can easier see to the bay, show me another workplace where you get that view, but I must say you need to rub up as the wind is bitterly cold blowing from all four directions.
The challengesThe lack of management and direction for leadership leaves a lot to be desired. They chop and change their minds from one week to the next, don't fully support the staff.
