    The good thingsWonderful people, flexible working arrangements, many opportunities to upskill, supportive managers, recognition initiatives and plenty of social events. The work is exciting and engaging with lots of new opportunities. There is a real focus on uplifting each other and striving for success together.
    The challengesTeams can sometimes feel a bit siloed, resulting in a lack of communication between each other. This can make integrating solutions even within the company a little challenging.

    The good thingsIMDEX is great in that it is not too big, not too small—just right. The company is large enough to offer exciting opportunities and have global impact, yet small enough that I can easily connect with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

    Bureaucracy, without procedures. Middle managers trying to justify their roles. Endless meetings and reviews. Small initiatives take too long to finish. Too many things happening at the same time. Alignment and communication are challenging. Company has so much potential, if you can survive the chaos.

    How this company is still in business is a mystery. They buy well performing competitors and rebrand their tech as there own or close them down. Profits are dropping, costs are up especially for senior management and the look ahead is a major crash in share price once the hype and bravado evaporates.
    The good thingsWorked with some great people in the sales team. Unfortunately they either leave or clash with senior management and get made redundant.
    The challengesSenior management are sycophants and yes men. More interested in agreeing with the Imdex way than actually running a good team and looking after the customer.

    Control-people culture and hard to review some upper-level subjective opinions. No annual review for the upper-level management. Double standards towards others and self. Marketing takes a higher priority than research and development efforts.

    Great company to work for, offering innovative ways to work, learn and grow with a fantastic workplace culture.
    The good thingsThe overall workplace culture is fantastic, lots of exciting career opportunities from people who actually want you to succeed in your role. A wide range of activities, training sessions, workshops, information sessions and more which has enhanced my skill set to prepare me for such a dynamic company. Working in such a great team has been really refreshing, my manager has been so incredibly helpful and constantly providing information to me on things she thinks will best set me up for the project at hand. Everyone I have come across have been really approachable and have ensured that I am settling in. Overall, it has been a great experience so far and as an Intern it is not what I had expected my role would look like as I am doing projects that important for the company which makes me feel really value and empowered!
    The challengesI'm still new to my role but to my surprise there has been little challenges I have had to face here, any obstacle I need help to get through I have a readily available manager and team to help provide the information and assistance that I need. With weekly check-ins I definitely don't feel as though I would be likely to fall behind in my new role, the support has been unmatched.

    The best company I have worked for, where we all feel valued and we are inspired by each other to do our best.
    The good thingsA fantastic work environment with great colleagues and management team. Absolutely love my team and manager. We have become good friends who really care about each other and are supportive and respectful. HR team are amazing at looking after us, in terms of our well being with lots of fun events and activities to keep us happy and engaged. Management are also fantastic at keeping us updated with how we are progressing as a team and a company. We feel a great sense of belonging, and we are inspired to give our best. Incentives and bonuses are the best I've ever received. This is a top quality company to work for.

    There's a lot of opportunity and potential growth, look forward to seeing how the IMDEX evolves over the next few years.
    The good thingsI was most struck at the culture and office environment. Far removed from the cutthroat, backstabbing and toxic culture I had unfortunately become accustomed to over the years. From day one, staff have been incredibly friendly and collegiate towards me. Folks I've crossed paths (at all levels and roles) have been accessible, approachable and prepared to give me the time of day to help me get settled here. The work has been interesting and diverse, I've got to run with a number of new initiatives being implemented this year. Being a flatter organisation, I've also appreciated the agility around decision making rather than deferring to committees and panels.
    The challengesPace of work has been full on, but acknowledge the cyclical nature of my role. Still new to the company and role and coming out of the peak workload period, so I feel it's objectively too early for me to fairly comment on career development opportunities. But the conversation has at least been discussed with my manager on regular occasions.

    In my 20 + years working within this industry I can honestly say it is one of the most enjoyable places to work that I have experienced so far.
    The good thingsI joined IMDEX as a contractor 18 months ago and have now moved into a permanent senior role. The company has a very strong and collaborative leadership team. This leadership approach permeates through the organisation where I have seen a collegiate and collaborative mindset encountered across the many teams I have had the pleasure of working with. IMDEX combination of market leading innovating geoscience tools coupled with cloud based analytics solutions and a passion to drive continuous improvement, makes for a very exciting place to work. This is supported by a very bright and capable team across all areas of the business.
    The challengesThe broader mining industry is currently experiencing accelerated levels of change, improving its record around environmental performance, efficiency, automation and data analytics. this is hampered in part by the shortage of people to drive these exciting initiatives. In order for IMDEX to continue to deliver into this space and flourish it needs to compete to entice great people into the business.
