    Toxic work place and company culture, management level staffs are terrible and inconsiderate. Tracking employees' location without notifying them ahead.

    Continuous support and learning at Independent
    The good thingsMy time at independent so far has been very wonderful, I am really enjoying working in the HR team. Everyone I've met has been so welcoming and helpful. I've already learnt so much and know the knowledge I'm gaining will have a positive impact on my future studies and career. Independent is going through many exciting changes and I'm glad I get to be apart of that process.
    The challengesI have never worked in HR before, as I am still completing my degree. At times I can be unsure of how to approach tasks or how I can be helpful. I'm glad I have such a supportive team who can guide me through my learning.

    I thoroughly enjoy working at IPG - if you are after a challenge in an environment which will support your will to learn and deliver this is the place for you.
    The good thingsIPG has wonderful people who are driven to deliver great CX and EX with intelligence, comradery, systems, technology and determination.
    The challengesThis is one of the largest private companies in the ACT region and as such there are a lot of people to get to know. However, for those who are invested in meeting everyone this challenge becomes an opportunity.

    Best place I’ve worked so far
    The good thingsFrom the 6mths I’ve been here I’ve seen a lot of positive management change across the whole organisation. The people here, including management and staff, really do care about each other and working to achieve amazing results.
    The challengesSeeing management change may make people feel a little worried. Change can be unsettling and scary. But I think the company communicates this change so staff are always kept in the loop of what’s happening.

    A wonderful, eventful and successful experience. Hence my return 6 years on.
    The good thingsOur executive leadership team listens!! As an employee I feel highly valued and supported. Our staff are supportive, collaborative and fun. We all enjoy each other’s company and work so cohesively amongst the whole organisation.
    The challengesThe role itself at times can be challenging, however, this comes with an abundance of support from higher management and the teams themselves.

    I have had so far a very enjoyable experience.
    The good thingsI really enjoy the work life balance and the ability of being able to grow within the company brand. There is immense opportunity beyond my current role, making work a place I want to be rather then a place I have to be at.

    The good thingsGood things? Not many good things here. If you’ve ever heard about good things in real estate they would be with any other agency but independent.
    The challengesManagement and judgment on your role. Eg no beard or messy hair, no dirty car as you always represent yourself. No room for expressing yourself

    Loved the work and the clientele, it was the management and culture that was a challenge- especially if you like being treated with no respect.
    The good thingsMost of the on the ground staff were hard working people who received little recognition.....they were overall genuinely nice helpful people who unfortunately bore the brunt of an overworked, over bulging agency. Continues in that way and I can see real staffing and morale issues occurring. Many of the clientele were nice as well.
    The challengesNot enough to challenge staff or to enough staff to want to focus on their career development. Staff are over worked. Need to look at size of portfolios if the agency truly wants to strike a good balance between providing excellence in service delivery and being an employee of choice.
