Toxic management and unwilling to listen company. The good thingsI loved and enjoyed helping patients feel confident and pleased with their food orders. Loved serving customers tea and coffee as they often looked forward to a warm drink while staying in the hospital. Pay was very good and was able to save decently. When great team members were on we all worked well and efficiently to do the best for each other.
The challengesToo much expectation placed onto the workers with the time and team on the day, there was never a single day of my shift that I got to complete 100% of seeing every patient I had to. Cut lunch breaks and held onto waiting to go to the toilet for hours to try and get as many food orders finished as possible. During over the stay of 2 years the equipment broke multiple times leading to overtime and stressed workers. Communicated to higher ups issues of conflicting work hours and worker efficiency which was always ignored. Toxic gossiping of managers about staff, have attended therapy to resolve extended anxiety and depression from these experiences. Shifts often changed without notice or permission.
