The good thingsBalancing professional and family responsibilities
The challengesThe current compensation package does not align with industry benchmarks and could be improved to attract and retain talent

All problems, no solutionsWanna quit the first-week joint. The management only cares about the money, not quality, not health and safety. If you want to have problems all day and running around to fix them, this is the place for you. Also a lot of office politics going on.

Highly recommend if you like working in supportive environment whilst being a strong professional yourself.
The good thingsAmazing supportive environment. Trully equal opportunities regardless of gender, skin colour or religion. The only decisive factor - your professional hard and soft skills. Unsurprisingly the biggest benefit of the company is the people you get to work with.
The challengesGreat vision and culture from the very top and very good people on the team, but a lot of missed gaps in between and constantly changing. You don't know who is your HR or IT person to speak to.

The challengesCulture was toxic and management were full of empty promises. Too much was left for too few. No career development. Company of yes men.

Good place, good culture, would recommend.
The good thingsGood team, one of the best I ever been with. High-end instruments, one of the leading in terms of applying new tech, especially laser scanning segment. Friendly environment and good managers, everything is good...
The challengesLike the other growing company, sometime miscommunicate between different levels, some people have to carry the team's workload as a result.

Great potential but toxic and inexperienced management.
The good thingsLeaving at the end of the day
The challengesToxic management with limited experience and no intention of trying to make things better. Hard to get good staff so lots of work and not enough people to do it.

Very self centred and careless management
The good thingsWork car is provided if you start as a Graduate Surveyor. Hardly any other good things.
The challengesVery self centred and careless management. Go figure out yourself kind of culture, especially Melbourne Office. Managers there don't care about your well being. All they care is that you turn up at the work site and fill in the spot. Not much support from the management at all in anyway. Head office is in Perth. They will say big things when hiring you but when it comes to action, none is taken.

The challengesNo communication from managers, sent to multiple jobs during the day with a figure it out when you get there approach as apposed to proper planning.

do not work for this company
The good thingsthis used to be a good company with good benefits like car and flexible work arrangement
The challengesthe managers dont know what they are doing, vey incompetent, doesn't care about employees well-being and safety, they only want to get the job done, very hard to refund expenses, they will take advantage of you unless you speak up

The good thingsExceptional work life balance. Very accommodating company that offers flexibility and recognises you have a life outside of work. Supportive team and management. lots of opportunity to grow and learn as an individual. I genuinely enjoy coming to work and would recommend Land Surveys to anyone.
The challengesNothing so far. I have been here a year and haven't experienced any challenges that weren't resolved with positive outcomes.

Lots of work, but you are just a number.
The good thingsPay is ok, good range of work everywhere. Equipment, vehicles mostly ok. Good career experience.
The challengesNo support, too many procedures, you really are just a number, they grew too big. Managers focus is on themselves. Huge turnover of staff, some surveyors not up to scratch. Poor work culture and environment, poor communication, hard to work with. Minimal scope for career development.

For australias largest survey company seemed to be very middle management heavy but didnt provide the support required, disappoiting.
The good thingsWA operations manager was helpful and took on feedback.
The challengesCommunication and organisation from management. Turned up and vehicle needed a service, wrong PPE sizes, not enough chargers for batteries, old batteries, old phone, faulty equipment. The contract they said they were awarded wasnt actually awarded.

Excellent pay, modern gear, good renumeration
The good thingsIts one of the biggest survey companies in Auatralia and that brings huge opportunity to work across a range of small to large scale projects
The challengesThe biggest advantage is also a disadvantage in that staff often specialise in core roles due to the size of the company and can struggle to obtain experience across multiple disciplines.
