Respectful Culture with Genuine Recognition and Appreciation
The good thingsThe workplace is supportive, respectful, and inclusive, with regular recognition of contributions and achievements that make you feel genuinely valued.
The challengesWorking completely remotely can sometimes feel isolating, as you miss out on the in-person connection and casual interactions that naturally happen in an office environment.

Great experience at Latitude so far!
The good thingsWorking at Latitude has been great so far over these first few months! Compared to other roles I have found Latitude give you a degree of autonomy to own your own work. One of the values is 'take accountability', and I really feel that coming through in the culture here. I also feel that Latitude does recognition really well, and good work is called out often.
The challengesI had a bit of a hectic onboarding, joining during a manager transition with a lot of projects on the go. Despite this, everyone at Latitude have been very understanding, offering support and guidance along the way.

A wonderful experience for professional growthWorking at LFS was an enriching experience, with a culture that encouraged learning, professional growth, and collaboration. Colleagues were mostly supportive, and the work itself was fulfilling. However, middle management's favoritism toward certain team members, both in leadership roles and non leadership roles —due to personal relationships—led to unfair opportunities and recognition. This imbalance affected workplace morale and trust in leadership. The redundancy caused by COVID-19 was a disappointing end to an otherwise valuable experience. Despite these challenges, the workplace had great potential. With fairer management practices, it could have been truly exceptional.

Challenging but has been a great and rewarding experience so far!
The good thingsThe people! I am fortunate that i have been and able to work and collaborate with some incredibly talented people so far not only within People and Culture but with the wider business too!
The challengesBeing in a flat structure means we’ve got a few single points of failure although that said it has definitely helped with cross-learning, which is great.

My experience at Latitude has been both exciting and rewarding. I have been fortunate to work with exceptional mentors who consistently offer their support, provide valuable learning opportunities, and believe in my abilities and the contributions I bring to the P&C division and to Latitude as a whole.
The good thingsWorking in the P&C division at Latitude has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I greatly enjoy the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of projects with different team members, which has significantly contributed to the enhancement of my skills and professional development.
The challengesThere is always soo much to do but that is the exciting part, there is not one day that will be the same!

Early stages but an encouraging and supportive start and the benefits are fantastic!
The good thingsOnboarding has been great, the transparency in the recruitment process and the ongoing support and training have made the transition into the position seemless. There is a culture of recognition and accountability that embraces people and ideas, and encourages you to take ownership.
The challengesThere are a lot of people and with hybrid working trying to recognise who fits where and how was challenging at first.

    An unexpected ending
The good thingsVery flexible work from home arrangements My colleagues in the wider team were very supportive and encouraging in the limited times I engaged with them
The challengesClunky IT systems and processes with limited resources to improve them. Lack of interaction with and direction from my leader. An expectation that in spite of that, I was the one to drive my own learning and development. No advance warning of performance issues or the opportunity to react to them.

The good thingsThe work environment is collaborative and inclusive. Team members are approachable and willing to lend a hand. The company also values innovation and is open to new ideas, which creates a dynamic workplace where you feel your contributions make a difference.
The challengesSome siloes exist and experiences can differ from one team to another, there could be better consistency.

The good thingsTeam mates Make changes without a lot of red tape
The challengesExpectation for workload to be completed but alot of it is done in over time which is unpaid as its seen as a reasonable expectation of the role. Salary on the low to average end so lots of colleagues move to other businesses.

    - Initially started as flexible, but this became less so over time. - Lack of procedure/process guides in place to give clear guidance to staff - Any overtime was unpaid as it was deemed to be a "reasonable expectation" of the job with the salary itself being on the low/mid end - Lack of communication of expectations and feedback - Constant changes with little communication
The good thingsThe people I worked with were amazing. Always working collaboratively towards the same goals.
The challengesThere wasn't much communication from management on the expectations, or with feedback. Management kept a "tally" of "errors" to hold against the employee, without raising these things in the moment to allow staff to learn/develop from.

The good thingsGet to work on important initiatives that i'm passioante about. Fantastic supportive leadership team. Healthy culture.
