Good first job, do not stay here.
The good thingsFree lunch and some great people to work with.
The challengesCompany needs to invest in a training program. Buddy systems are not appropriate, especially when you are dealing with people's finances. HR is toxic and will gaslight you if they deem you a non-conformist, they make promises and constantly lie when held to account, also will bribe you with a good review for a free jacket. Technology issues aplenty. No clear pathway for career progression. Undertrained staff and service department is treated like dogs.

The workplace is highly stressful, with staff working under burnout, managers treating employees as disposable numbers unless they happen to personally like them, enforcing a culture of micromanagement and control, mandating after-hours “pizza sessions,” and eliminating any genuine flexibility.
The good thingsThe team is great, high performance team, friendly, teamwork and approachable people
The challengesThe management demonstrates a lack of clarity and effective communication, often failing to inform teams and the wider company of important changes. Staff are moved between roles without proper consultation, and when consultation occurs, there is no genuine opportunity to decline. Behind-the-scenes plotting and a misleading portrayal of diversity further undermine trust. Employees are pressured to attend after-hours events despite promises of flexible work. In reality, the CCO (HR) monitors office attendance closely, reinforcing an outdated culture of control and micromanagement. Monthly reporting on office presence takes precedence over actual results, regardless of performance. Staff who are personally disliked face unfair treatment, even at senior levels. Tech GM frequently changes his mind and employs a manipulative management style, ensuring that anyone he decides he dislikes is ultimately removed. He will go out of his way to interfere in other departments to push such outcome.

Do not apply if it is for a role in service, sales, products and motor.
The good thingsA great company to grow in the lending 'NON BANK' industry
The challengesEvery aspect the has been as a positive is hiding a false narritive that seems like a benefit at this workplace. eg. 'free food' - from a deli that is unhygenic and makes you sick.

Decent job, until it's not - better hope you're a "cultural fit"
The good thingsGood pay, good benefits (although not as good as they advertise tbh), free lunch, ability to work from home.
The challengesThere's a forced positivity and forced fun in everything they do. It's not about making an environment where people want to spend time together and bond with their team, it's about giving the appearance of this. There's no set KPIs - it's all wishy-washy and not communicated with you at all. Expectations seemingly change on the roll of a dice. Noone tells you expectations have changed either. One performance review, everything is fine. The next you're being told you're not delivering, despite no conversations about this prior. Career progression is all about getting your manager to like you rather than actually doing your job effectively. They'll put people into management positions based on 'vibes' when they have quite literally no experience in the department they're managing. As others have mentioned, it's a decent job until it's not. Once they decide you're not fitting the culture or whatever new expectations there are, you're done and there's literally nothing you can do to change it.

    Overall a very positive experience
The good thingsCEO is very philanthropic and generous with his staff and really tries to make a positive work environment for all his staff.
The challengesExtremely demanding in terms of hours required to meet work output expectations. Staff are moved around to different positions within the company often without consultation or any real choice in the matter.

The absolute best, most supportive, most friendliest and caring workplace I've ever been involved with!!
The good thingsUnbelievably supportive - Liberty as a whole genuinely care for you and your family. They gave me incredible work life balance and they went out of their way to support me through very tough times. I've worked in so many different fields and other companies, still cannot believe how different they are. Great environment and culture - The staff are very welcoming and right from the start you can sense it was a good place to work at. I can still remember my first day receiving a signed welcome card by the whole department. Managers - Finally I can say for the first time I didn't feel like a work horse and just trying to get through another work day. They are all supportive, help you grow in your role and allow you to move to other departments and help with all your training needed. I believe this company sets the tone for every other company on how to be because the way I was treated, trained and felt there, they got the best and I got the best. Inclusive - Liberty are really big on making everyone feel comfortable in the workplace. It didn't matter your race, religion or background there was no difference there. They really do an amazing job with this. The HR team are very involved with every person to make sure they are comfortable, safe and happy in their roles, sometimes you pinch yourself thinking you work in a finance company like this. Learning opportunities - The place never felt boring. You can constantly learn, take on new roles. Imagine working at a place that pays well, treats you like family and continues to help you grow into your career. This is the place.
The challengesGained too much weight with all the food that they keep giving out.

Feels more like a family than a company
The good things► A very diverse and interesting place to work, with really friendly people. ► Teams are empowered through their Principal Leads to make the changes they need in order to succeed. ► The best company lunches and family days I have ever experienced. ► Management will go out of their way to support a work life balance. ► Work directly with the customers to implement the changes they need. ► Have their very own Caesar.
The challenges► Company is large enough that enterprise architecture requires more and more agreement. ► Complexities associated with any Lending institution migrating to cloud infrastructure.

The good thingsLiberty cares about it's Community and focused on Customer outcomes. It is a progressive business in both product and people centered workplace practices. I could not imagine working anywhere else again.
The challengesChallenges come from external with the constant changing needs of our customers in both service and expectation but that is the nothing new.

Some good times, but the management style and toxic politics left a very bad taste in my mouth - would not recommend
The good thingsFood, family days, everything is good until you decide to think for yourself
The challengesMainly a combination of mushroom and seagull management styles .. mushroom: keep you in the dark and feed you sheet, seagull: fly in, sheet all over everything and fly out. Speak up about anything and you’ll be managed out.

No regrets having spent time there, a great learning opportunity.
The good thingsThey have policy of moving staff around the business so if you stay a long time you will learn a lot about different aspects of the business. Talent is recognised and retained. Executives are extremely capable and knowledgeable of the industry.
The challengesThe business is run very efficiently, with behaviours and practices tightly controlled. This can create a stifling environment which doesn't suit everyone.

If you're unemployed and need a job ... well you aint got nothing to lose.
The good thingsGreat money and a nice view.
The challengesBizarre culture, one minute they love you, the next you're out the door cause management have decided you're no longer 'a cultural fit'. Absolutely obsessed with data and details. Terrible open plan offices, small desks and very noisy.

    Amazing growth, fun and friendships...
The good thingsLiberty is a really fast paced environment where you really can set your own path for your career aspirations. Rapid growth offers a world of opportunities for those looking to join and ride the wave, whilst existing staff have new doors open for those who have earned it. It's not about tenure but rather the contribution that counts!
The challengesLiberty's agility isn't for everyone. Those who are used to rigid operational frameworks and management will probably find themselves out of water.

The challengesKeeping up with the rapid pace of change. We're constantly trying new things to see what works, and what doesn't. This is on top of the already fast-paced software changes.
