Mentally draining, Low salary and lots of office politics
The good thingsThey provide you multiple projects which is hard to manage but you will learn a lot. Mistakes will be guaranteed but you will learn a lot which will be goo for you.
The challengesThe salary is quite low and does not sufficiently cover personal expenses. Despite this, employees are often overburdened with multiple projects, making it challenging to maintain high-quality work. Meeting expectations becomes difficult due to limited resources and heavy workloads. The training and support systems need significant improvement. Training is often insufficient to prepare employees for project demands, and the support system is largely ineffective, leaving employees without the guidance they need. I always strive to perform professionally and would never speak negatively about a colleague. However, there have been instances where I was reported to supervisors for underperformance, despite my best efforts under challenging circumstances. They won't even increase my pay because of this.

A stressful workplace with very very poor management, heavy workloads, and low pay - not recommended
The good thingsThere were very few positive aspects to my experience, the lack of support, poor communication, and weak management made it hard to enjoy the work.
The challengesCommunication, management, and workload all need serious improvement, particularly within the electrical team. Expectations were often unclear, training was limited, and the workload was heavy for the level of pay. Poor leadership, low pay, and a lack of support created a stressful work environment and made the role more difficult than it needed to be.

Low pay with high workload and limited support A stressful Poor management and weak leadership
The good thingsManagement direction kept getting worse, communication was poor, and the work environment became stressful. Overall, the last year had a big negative impact on my experience.
The challengesAlmost everything could be improved, including salary, management, workload, and communication. The workload was overwhelming with very little support, training was poor, and expectations were often unclear due to very poor communication. The environment was extremely stressful, and there was no real work–life balance.

Working long term might be questionable as long hours may not necessary lead to promotions.
The good thingsGreat for graduates, learnt a lot in buildings engineering.
The challengesWorkload is really unmanageable. No overtime pay. So got to work for free to meet deadlines, sometimes overnight.

    Not good environment
The good things- Pay was average. Not insanely high but alright for what it is worth - They provide you lots of projects which helps you learn and acquire more skills. - Social club events are alright
The challenges- The workload is too much. Engineers in each discipline team are not able to keep up with multiple projects due to lack of resourcing. Engineers get assigned more projects as days pass by. - No proper work and social life balance. Very hard to maintain balance with the amount of work that is put on you - No support. You are expected to know everything and you won't be able to get any help no matter how much you ask - Micromanagement. Sometimes there is no trust at all and you are expected to follow someone's strategies when it doesn't work well for you.

Lucid is a great company to get good exposure across all sorts of elements of a consulting business. They management team are very open to new ideas, and there is a culture of setting themselves apart from others in the market. It is a great company to start your journey, and plenty of opportunities for growth and progression.
The good thingsGreat exposure to all parts of the business. Management are very approachable. Great project diversity, across all sorts of sectors. Manageable balance. There is a culture of self improvement. Always asking how can we improve. Very good at thinking long term. Very resilient in the market.
The challengesThey are abit behind with regard to some systems and processes.

    Desperate and burned-out passions.
The good thingsThey provide building services across multiple disciplines, allowing you to expand your perspectives and knowledge.
The challengesThe Restless Office Battles: Favoritism and a toxic workplace culture, with promotions based on relationships rather than merit. Poor IT Support and amateur drafting skills by an inexperienced national team and modellers in branch offices.

The management team does not seem to prioritize the needs and concerns of staff members. This lack of concern for employee well-being can create a negative work environment where staff members feel unappreciated and unsupported.
The good thingsLucid has a positive culture and provides a great learning experience for its employees. The company fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, where employees feel valued and respected. The management team encourages employee development and provides ample opportunities for growth and learning.
The challengesLucid has some significant shortcomings when it comes to employee compensation and management's attitude towards staff. Specifically, the salary offered by the company is below industry standards and does not adequately compensate employees for their hard work and dedication

The good thingsThe people here have been amazing and will guide you through learning engineering concepts. A lot of interesting projects across varied industries, that will challenge you as an engineer. One great thing is also the encouraging environment that I was placed in.
The challengesNone that I found - I had a very supportive team before/during the COVID period.
