It's a great school filled with many amazing staff members, but leadership needs to change with the times and give staff greater freedom. This will improve morale far more than any wellbeing day.
The good thingsFacilities are amazing. Some of the best classrooms to teach in. Technology is great if you take the time to embrace it. A lot of the staff are amazing and work very hard. The micromanaging environment makes it easier for new staff to integrate into the school and follow protocols.
The challengesThe micromanaging. Almost every aspect of a teacher's job is managed/monitored by leadership. Very little independence is given to staff. Compulsory staff meetings every Tuesday (until 4:30pm) and Wednesday (5:00pm) are mostly a waste of time and often filled with information that could be distributed via email. Staff are rarely given this time to work at their own leisure, instead forced to sit in long meetings. Leadership avoid talking to staff about issues individually, instead involving all staff in broad sweeping changes.

Does not really live up to its reputation.
The good thingsNice grounds and nice staff and students.
The challengesCulture and working styles from management too set in the 1980s plus no respect for non teaching staff, despite many support staff having more qualifications and career experience than most Teachers.

Disappointing for a supposedly highly regarded school
The good thingsGood teaching facilities and some welcoming staff
The challengesLack of discipline among students with minimal support from senior staff and executive. Only offer temporary contracts with no view to retain staff.

Wonderful people make a great work environment.
The good thingsA fabulous place to work. There are costless opportunities for career development if that is what you are looking for. Leadership and Management list to the staff they are working with and have their needs at the forefront of their decision making. The College looks beautiful and has the most wonderful facilities that make teaching a pleasure.
The challengesIt is a very busy place that is constantly developing and changing. Keeping up with the changes can be a challenge.

Would not recommend - not as good as it thinks it's reputation is
The good thingsNice gardens and plenty of car parking
The challengesNon teaching staff are not treated very well. The culture here is concerning with a fear based culture from the top down. The very best of people have left this school.

A great place to work, surrounded by lovely people and where Management take a serious approach to the wellbeing and safety of all staff
The good thingsFriendly Staff, safe working environment, amenities and buildings clean and comfortable, ample parking spaces, beautiful gardens, flexible working arrangements.
The challengesFast paced working environment that allows for little down time, but on a whole would not consider this to be a challenge.

A great place to work where the kids are always put first
The good thingsA great location with easy access to the freeway and local amenities. A supportive team culture that pushes for the best in the individual, always putting the students needs first. An understanding working environment that will support staff and families through hard times.
The challengesMoving from a corporate environment to the school system can be challenging, but the school is very supportive through this process.
