    Excellent company and Team to be part of.
    The good thingsExtremely welcoming team. Very generous with introductions and time to train. The office and workshop teams work as one team which is refreshing.
    The challengesHonestly nothing worth a mention atm.

    You would never regret taking a job at McColl's.
    The good thingsLocal and Eastern State bosses really care about the staff. Great crew of drivers. Good pay rates. Everything about the job was excellent! Easily the best company I have ever worked for.
    The challengesWorking with the client could be challenging at times, to say the least but they were still pleasant to deal with and this really isn't a negative, just a part of the industry.

    Had some ups and downs as you do in transport. But overall it was a good experience working at McColl's.

    The good thingsI was always occupied and work life was very fast paced. This helped days go by quickly.
    The challengesToxic culture. Depends on where you are situated but didn't feel welcomed and not many were friendly. management is a joke.

    Best to keep looking this is not the place to be.
    The good thingsThere are still some very few good people working there, but that number is dropping.
    The challengesWORK/life balance is totally one sided and its not staff they care about. Management needs to leave the old days behind and learn to adapt to better working ethics and procedures.

    Worst company I have ever worked for with no values or culture...I would not recommend working here at all.
    The good thingsFortunately there are some good people around but nothing else
    The challengesThe organisation has deteriorated under the new ownership. The place is completely disjointed with a toxic culture. With a high employee turnover evident, this place is completely disjointed and sad to what it once was. Even drivers with 7 plus years are leaving.

    One of the worst employers I've worked for....I would not recommend working here at all.
    The good thingsOnly good thing is that I met some good people
    The challengesManagement doesn't care about their staff - they only care about themselves. Your opinion doesn't count. Talking to Management is like talking to a brick wall. I would not recommend working here.

    The companies reputation has got bad, so bad they are now arranging staff to do fake "glowing" 5 star reviews online, so prospective employees aren't turned off by the truth from real employees true reviews
    The good thingsIt is a testing environment to work in, lacking direction and leadership
    The challengesLack of realistic direction other than pie in the sky type stuff that will never happen. None of the leadership really believe in the business anymore

    Change of ownership has really destroyed the morale of the job, drivers are now just a number
    The good thingsWas a great company to work for but since the big change over of managers in the last 2 years, drivers are now not treated as a person

    Really happy that I have moved on and found a better job, working in a transport business ran by over educated suits with no idea was very stressful and demoralising

    The challengesDifferent rules for different people, had to be in the clique or circle of friends now running the business, or an external consultant

    The good thingsSome of the people were great and was once a brilliant company to work for.
    The challengesThe new management have no idea how to run a transport company. Expect you to be available 24/7 and treat you poorly unless you are one of their consultants.

    The good thingsFairly good pay. Some of the trucks are shiny
    The challengesPolitical company is only interested in it's own interests is going through some sort of pay restructure because it can't compete with other companies undercutting contracts. Kept me on casual for 18 mths

    In my opinion ,Meh.
    The good thingsMostly great work colleagues.
    The challengesManagement . Rinse and repeat stupidity. Working -------- driving hours due to poor scheduling / management. Maintenance got quite bad but was starting to improve.

    The challengesExecutive team have been in their positions far to long and are stale. there is no drive for welcome new ideas. they are not up with best practice in their areas. Some areas have a toxic culture, Some managers have clear favorites.
