Stagnant culture disguised as transformation. Smoke and mirrors culture
The good thingsMet some genuinely great, hardworking colleagues who are doing their best in a tough spot.
The challengesLeadership frequently claims they want change and fresh ideas, but any attempt to improve processes is met with resistance. There is a clear pattern of managing out highperformers who challenge the status quo.

Horrible, toxic and stuck in the 80s.
The good thingsA lot of the front line team members are amazing. The team on the phones are amazing at what they do.
The challengesEverything. The leaders were inexperienced, hostile to any changes including introducing new technology, changing business practices or any external advice. A huge percent of the business has never worked anywhere else, and are extremely hostile to any change from the way it's operated since the 80s. The culture is obsessive over profits, which means customers and operators are taken advantage of to maximise sales, and they make decisions against what they say they value and stand for that just makes it harder for everyone to do their jobs. The leadership team micromanage, don't provide support, and tend to overrule their experienced team members in order to maintain the status quo. If staff try to push for any changes they are targeted and micromanaged, under-supported and generally persecuted until they either quit or they fail to meet unreasonable performance targets and are fired.

Some good people, although don't get too attached as turnover is atrocious due to short-sighted management.
The good thingsThere are a few good people who make work bearable
The challengesTop heavy management, significant disconnect to those who actually do the work and the conditions

    Regret working for them…
The good thingsNothing besides the RACV insurance discount.
The challengesUnprofessional and unrealistic expectations from management. Management are quick to put the blame on the people below them and show lack of support. High turnover and have and will continue to loose good employees.

A great business to be part of, with an exciting future ahead.
The good thingsOur Culture - Nationwide is a people focused business, from those 'on the road' supporting customer/members in vulnerable circumstances, or those behind the scenes 'on the phones' communicating directly with the customer/member and assisting them through whatever presents. We all live and breath our Values in all interactions.
The challengesTowing sometimes isn't considered attractive, but we do our very best to make it! From very competitive & consistent earnings on the road, to watching drivers grow their own businesses, to offering a great range of benefits for all other roles.

The good thingsEncouraged to take risks and think outside the box. Business very open to change. Very good support network for both drivers and office staff.
The challengesMany systems still very Manual. In process of changing but sometimes a little slow.

I really like working for Nationwide, and as a business that is fast growing I can't wait to see what opportunities this brings for its employees!
The good thingsNationwide is all about providing its employees with opportunities to develop themselves in whatever areas they are passionate about. Throughout the business there are a number of people who started in one role and through hard work and recognition from the business have been able to transfer into new positions with new opportunities. There is also things like wellness days and programs that are offered which I really enjoy.
The challengesThe work is very fast paced but this is a good thing in my eyes!

Its a great job for people who love driving and working long hours but there sure is no great income with having a truck here.
The good thingsDealing with customers and helping them out in stressful times
The challengesMaking a profit as an Owner Driver. You will receive great paying jobs before you sign the lease. The company has all the control of what money you make and when times are quiet you can't go and pick up your on work because you are fully available to Nationwide. You have to constantly do online learning (un paid) and have a lot of out goings versus what comes in. They will keep putting more trucks on the road even in quiet times which makes it slightly harder to make money. WA staff are fantastic but that doesn't pay the bills. Trucks are overpriced and have high repayments which must be met which is difficult in quiet times.

Friendly Family feel company, contribute to the team and be rewarded!
The good thingsThis is a company that has great opportunity options so recommend contributing to the company and making a difference where you can, it doesn’t go unnoticed. This this company has a great family feel and everyone is awesome to get along with. You feel like they are another family! Finally they have a Great Wellness program I haven't seen at any other companies. Something that everyone should be aware of is their health (Physically & Mentally)!
The challengesDidn’t find any difficulties, any challenges I experienced, I had support from the company to help me improve my skills and grow.
