Amazing people, culture & work-life balance.
The good thingsAmazing people within the C&I marketing team! There are a lot of opportunities to get involved in different projects and do new things every day with a degree of autonomy. There's also a nice balance of WFH & office.
The challengesBeing in an events role, there are very busy times that can be quite stressful and fast-paced...but the team is supportive to help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Poor as even though I had worked there before and OS for two years was given little opportunity to readjust back to their systems when I returned to their employment.
The good thingsLoved most of Students and their diversity.
The challengesSome students though were using courses to maintain access to Student Visa and could therefore be disruptive as they weren't that interested in learning. Some course materials were incorrect or had editing mistakes. Some classes had students of too varied levels making it difficult to give full learning experience individually. Management more interested in class size being profitable than Student needs and not supportive of teacher. Not prepared to listen when I made suggestions. "My way or the highway" response from senior manager who is no longer working there.

    Outdated, ironic, ridiculous, sad, incompetent.
    The good thingsNone. Unfortunately.
The challengesSets unrealistic expectations for hitting sales targets without the leads to match. Will not let you properly work on campaigns to get more leads. Then will fire you for not hitting the target, Even after explaining all of this multiple times.

I love it here, I feel at home and would not be happy if I had to leave for some reason.
The good thingsThere is a general atmosphere of respect, kindness and acceptance. Most of the staff members have a great sense of humour, which results in an amicable working environment. Plenty of opportunities exist for skills improvement. The focus is very much on flexibility and getting the job done, rather than abiding by stringent rules and regulations. Management has an open door approach and are well respected.
The challengesCurrently we are working from home and that always comes with challenges. Some staff members are based in different countries and provinces, which can cause issues with communication from time to time. Getting up to speed with all the different systems and how they tie together is always challenging for new employees at any company. Learning acronyms and abbreviations applicable only to Navitas can be overwhelming in the beginning.

At the start from 2011 to mid 2015, company was great. After mid 2015, restructure led to another and another. You had good peer support from within the IT teams, there really is no progression within Navitas.
The good things- Good place to learn and grow - Supportive team and co-workers - Training - Work from Home benefit
The challenges- Too many restructures out of the 9 years I was at Navitas - Spilt IT divisional teams (was once a global IT team) - Poor higher management, lack of communication between divisions - Pay was super terrible

I had the pleasure of working with committed trainers and our local management was excellent. I also found that team work was great in certain areas.
The good thingsGood onsite management, good training training facilities
The challengesWorking with International Students, where many have very high expectations, expecting placement into blue ribbon companies.

Avoid if you want to stay in your job more than a year.
The good thingsWorking with international and local students.
The challengesNavitas is focused on unrealistic short term sales targets then lays people off when those targets are not met. There is a cultural tension between the maximisation of profits and trying to run a university campus focused on academic excellence. The corporate structure is really strange with a central marketing team supporting individual marketing managers embedded in each business unit (university or college). The marketing and academic staff are constantly at loggerheads when the students promised from the targets fail to eventuate in the class.

I was on a just above minimum wage even after a year, asked to have a salary review and was denied. Management changed often with managers who had no idea about the business. Had coworkers getting away with everything just because they are favoured more by management. Overall bad experience.
The good thingsDiscounts and employee benefits
The challengesConstantly changing management, horrible top down communication

I enjoyed it enough to overlook the challenges and do it again...
The good thingsThe people and the job itself.
The challengesThe hidden cost of working a lot outside of normal working hours was always challenging. Not enough hours to warrant working solely for them over weekends. Need at least 4 days work to really make this work.

Please hire competent managers to lead the teams.
The good thingsMost of my colleagues are nice.
The challengesToo much office politics and incompetent managers demotivated juniors. If you are capable of doing more tasks, they will give you more responsibilities but no extra benefits.

Navitas needs to up its game.
The good thingsIt's not a cut-throat world within the teams
The challengesEverybody's dispensable. Everything is dictated by numbers, and from top down. Strategic direction is non-existent. Every decision looks ad-hoc. Communication is exceptionally poor.
