Great company for growth and learning.
The good thingsA great company working towards brighter futures, and improving lives through the development of medicine. You can really tell the care people put in to their work, and feeling like we are contributing to something greater. Overall really happy working at Nucleus network, as you are rewarded for genuine hard work.
The challengesSometimes it's challenging when working with overseas colleagues, as a global company.

Used to be good, staff undervaluedBad management culture High turnover rate Upper level management does not value staff Some upper level management try to work around legislation requirements Does not pay market rate Would rather replace staff then invest in current staff Underappreciating to staff Inflexible with leave requests, only got to have Christmas period off due to shut down Flexible working for administrative roles is a bonus

Working at Nucleus Network feels like running a marathon with no finish line!
The good thingsThe staff were great and went a long way to help and make the job bearable.
The challengesWhere do I start? Bad management culture—higher management either does not care or is rude to their staff. Mostly understaffed during busy time, tasks are often unrealistic. There is a high turnover rate, either because the company does not invest in its staff or because it is always about profit.

Good for CV not on your pocket.
The good thingsGood to gain experience in nursing, research & allied health. Good for CV. Full of amazing & helpful staff. They will ease off the pressure a bit and make work enjoyable and bearable as each task is time pressured. Opportunity to meet people from all over the world.
The challengesSeasonal work only with busy periods & months where there is no work for casuals. Rostered shifts in advance are not a guarantee that you have work and may give you a false sense of security. they tend to cancel a lot during off peak season. It was good in the first few months, then began cutting shifts to 4-5 hours or cancel daily the day before. Hard to pick up shift somewhere else the last minute! Good for students who want to work a few hours per day, good for those living with parents, with no mortgage or serious financial obligations. 70% kitchen hand work serving meals to trial participants, 30% collecting blood or doing ecgs etc. Long wait to get paid. Pay is every 14th of each month from previous month worked. Such a long stretch. Need a lot of savings or a second job as backup.

The challengesUnpredictable shifts make it hard to maintain work life balance. Management unreceptive to feedback.

good foot in the door for clinical research, but not for long term
The good thingsworking in the unit taught me great time management and i learnt a lot about research and clinical trials. would recommend for students studying healthcare around other university commitments.
The challengeshard to balance a social life. shifts can be really early or late and sometimes only 4 hours. hospital parking is expensive and I didn't like that it was opposite a dark park.
