    Supportive workplace that stand to their values
    The good thingsThe ongoing training and support to each department is monthly to ensure you are up to date and everyone is on the same page. A huge positive from past employments is when you contact the staff from head office, you hear back in a timely manner, you are not just another person in a line to them, they actually support their staff.
    The challengesI haven't had any challenges as such in my role whilst I have been employed here. I find the support great and are able to get assistance when needed to help perform my job at the best of my ability.

    The good thingsOBrien Real Estate Bairnsdale is a fantastic, positive, family-friendly environment. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and genuinely enjoys working together, which makes each day both fun and motivating. There’s a strong sense of teamwork and inclusion, where ideas are encouraged and contributions are valued. What really stands out is the variety, no two days feel the same, with new challenges and experiences always around the corner. There is so much opportunity to grow personally and throughout the company. The job is fast passed, and community engaging.

    The good thingsI am currently working as a Property Manager at OBrien Blackburn, where I’ve been part of the team for 1 year. OBrien Blackburn has a fantastic workplace culture, driven by supportive and forward-thinking Directors and a Management team that truly values its people. As a family-run business, there’s a strong sense of community and a genuine focus on work-life balance. The office environment is welcoming and friendly, and our team works together with great camaraderie. We regularly participate in quarterly team-building activities that are not only fun but also help strengthen our team dynamic. Training and development are a strong focus here, with ongoing support provided both locally at our office and through head office programs. It’s a great place to grow professionally while feeling genuinely valued.

    You Won’t Be Disappointed I am a past Senior Property Manager and was employed on a part time basis. I was working at OBrien Blackburn for just over 2 years This workplace had a great culture where the Directors and Management team are supportive and innovative and family is the centre of this family run business. The team was really friendly, it was a welcoming environment. I enjoyed the team building activities quarterly which were really enjoyable and fun. There was always adequate training at both a local office level and head office. I left real estate to have a break from the industry and still keep in touch with the Directors, Managers and team at OBrien Blackburn. I have made lifelong friends with this family. I also still attend some of their auctions, as recently as last weekend. And still catch up for Coffee/Tea

    The good thingsI've worked at a couple of different agencies and I believe a major point of difference I've experienced is the abundance of relative and useful training sessions for all aspects of real estate including administration.
    The challengesIt's not personal with Obrien Real Estate but across all Real Estate Agencies it is hard to maintain uniform in systems and procedures given that most are separately franchised however it is something that they are working on.
