I am finally free of this place
The good thingsLoved my little team. It's nice they are an equal opportunity employer. For people in management with no other options.
The challengesAbsolutely no respect from management (non-clinical) as a clinician. Management not trained in absolutely anything at all - least of all how to manage a team effectively.

    Too much micromanagement
The good thingsMy colleagues were nice and tried to be supportive
The challengesWorkload was too high and my mental health suffered due to excessive and uncalled for micromanagement. Very poor communication. I have a new job now with the most lovely managers and until now I didnt know how nice managers and a job could actually be.

    Worst job of my life
The good thingsMy peers were a delight to work with. I will honestly miss them
The challengesMy greatest challenge was working under non-clinicians who kept making clinical calls. This was very dangerous for our clients. Dont speak up though. You will be shown out. Unrealistic KPIs turned it into a money factory. It soured the reason why I got into nursing in the first place, which was to help people.

Unsure why I had to meet KPIs
The good thingsI was only there a very short amount of time
The challengesManager stressed that we must meet KPIs, which confused me as this is health care not direct sales. Not sure if this was a branch specific decision only. Very high workload.

Expectations and workload way too high
The good thingsI really didn't work there long enough to comment
The challengesI worked there for 2 weeks. I did not feel very supported. I was unsure of who my supervisor was, i dont think i had one. My workload was too high. I don't feel like I could service 200-300 clients effectively. The other care managers tried very hard to help me but they were very busy.
