Overworked with ridiculous expectations from out of touch management.
The good thingsSome of the people are lovely like most workplaces. Pay was decent for the job role.
The challengesCompany run by two dictators who are so out of touch with reality it's hilarious. Company went into receivership but company founders never took a hit. Loads of staff made redundant and the two Hough brothers get to walk away with their millions. Make it make sense.

    Don't apply.
The good thingsNice relatively new office.
The challengesMiles from Southern Cross station. No food outlets. Inflexible management. Restricted work practices. Work from Home for management only. Staff leaving in droves. No clear plan for improvement from management. If it goes wrong it is the staff that are to blame.

Great place to work to build yourself with newer technologies. Excellent work-life balance and great flexibility.
The good thingsI'm working here for the past 2.5+ years. It is really great place to work where I took my career knowledge to the next level. They always encourage us to learn new technologies and apply them to the project. They have good trust with the employees and believe their work very strongly.
The challengesI didn't find any challenges personally :)

Fantastic journey so far - can't wait to see what the future holds for myself and the company
The good thingsGreat place to work, experienced collectors would love it and be well rewarded for their efforts. KPIs used to assist not just to tick boxes. Two Locations in QLD (Brisbane and the Gold Coast) lots of room for growth as the Head office is in Brisbane.
The challengesIf you're new to collections it can be a bit overwhelming at first but PF provides the tools and training to get you ready and support you along the way - however you need to be both resilient and empathetic due to the nature of the calls

I feel very supported and can honestly say I felt like I was treated like a human being before an employee.
The good thingsThe Gold coast office is in a great locations, has a progressive and understanding management. You can really tell that panthera is the kind of company that is always looking into new ways as to how they can support their employees. Compared to my previous roles at other finance companies, PF is actually a company that I am happy to work for. There was never a time where I was upset at my desk, because the management is so open to feedback and so accommodating to the recommendations provided to them.
The challengesIt is challenging to collect enough to receive a bonus but I guess that's the point.

The challengesCollections isn't for everyone, but the support and training provided gives the support needed to be successful in the role.

The resolutions team is a great team to work for but the pay could be better.
The good thingsThe resolution team manager is amazing and had a genuine care for her team and individuals
The challengesThe pay is on the lower end for the demand and skills you need for the job. Being a deb collection agency you naturally get some angry customers. Hard to move internally within the company

Diverse and dynamic company with a good organisational culture
The good thingsGreat work environment with supportive colleagues and management. The company culture is very good with lot of events and opportunities to build meaningful connections both at work and outside of work. A dynamic and diverse workplace where employees are treated with respect. HR are doing a great job at making each employees their priority and are always here to listen.
The challengesWhile my experience with management was very positive, some mid level managers in the Panthera Group are reportedly not qualified and unsuitable for their roles (lack of leadership and people skills, money/result oriented mindset at the expense of the well-being of the employees). One's experience may vary greatly depending on who one's manager is.

    Loving it.
The good thingsIt's a great team at this company, from day one I have felt welcomed and included by everyone. The learning and development team are so supportive and always willing to help you learn and enhance your skills. The HR team are fabulous and understanding and always willing to support when life throws a curveball. The operations team are professional as well as being down to earth and able to have a laugh with the team on the floor and there is an amazing barrister that brings coffee everyday. There are plenty of opportunities to progress within the company. I was worried coming into the job at first but realised in my first week I was going to love it and I still do.

A great opportunity to work in a flexible and interesting workplace
The good thingsFrom the onset you're provided with the tools and training to succeed within your role - help and support is also readily. There are endless opportunities to progress within company and there is always a focus on creating a positive work environment and culture. The people I've worked with have always been awesome. There is also a lot of awesome incentives
The challengesAt times the job can become repetitive.

I'm glad I got out of this toxic environment
The good thingsThere is free coffee for everyone.
The challengesManagement is totally unprepared, micromanaging is a common practice and there is a lot of "inner circle culture". Money making is the only focus of the directors and managers, they don't care about employees or customers.

A great job that provides transferable skills in every aspect of life.
The good thingsThe people that you meet working at panthera are quite nice and they become your very good friends. Everyone gets along with everyone which makes the day at work go real quick. Getting free barista made coffee everyday is something that definitely helps whilst on the phone dealing with customers.
The challengesThe difficult part of this job would be the first time on the phone dealing with people from a variety of financial situations and trying to accomodate tailored financial solutions that suits their affordability. Trying to separate the customer's situation and the account is always hard but you learn to find the right balance thanks to the training acquired from the learning and development team.

Great company however they have too many young kids with too much power so whole place is run like a college startup
The good thingsLocation close to public transport (bus/train/ferry)
The challengesHours having an earlier start every Fridays and late finish the rest of the week is unfortunate for those travelling from out of the city because you’d leave home early before sunrise and get home late at night and you’ll be lucky to catch one bus service to get into work

Above average overall but lots of room for improvement however a vibrant company on the rise with a job that has a very high turnover as quite challenging in and of itself.
    The good thingsFlexibility. Compassion. Training.
