Stressful and unfriendly school to teach in. There are much more nicer schools to teach in!
The good thingsNice music rooms with lovely views overlooking greenery. Some lovely students and staff.
The challengesThis is a school with a high teacher turn over rate. It is an extremely stressful, lonely and difficult school to teach in. You will likely be micromanaged, belittled (or threatened) and not supported by the exec. Extra covers (for a full time staff) above the government recommended are likely to be given. There is a culture of teachers telling on other teachers by emailing the principal. The principal will not know you nor want to talk to you unless a formal meeting is made through her secretary. If students are unhappy with you (giving them a detention, or them not being top of the class even if they often try to be disruptive) the students will complain to their parents and you will be made to apologise to the student. Save yourself the stress and turmoil, there are much more kinder, calmer and friendlier schools to teach at, who will love you and support you!

The challengestoxic work environment, entitled students with zero work ethic, parents who think they can tell you what to do

A rewarding experience with an opportunity to have a real impact on others.
The good thingsWorking close to home in a supportive faculty.
The challengesNew government regulations negatively impact more mature age teachers who are forced into further training to upgrade qualifications.
