Because of the low wage and continually getting into trouble when I was trying to help the company, my husband asked why I do it - I replied, because I love itThe good thingsI have been involved in investigative reports writing work previously and it is something that I enjoy. I also like being able to work from home and organise my own schedule.
The challengesI have always been a dedicated company person so when I have had a client call back after the deadline of submitting the report, I used to ring the company and ask them if they would like me to input the latest information, so they would put the report back online for me to complete, only for me to get into trouble for not submitting the report on time, when I had, I was just going above and beyond what was required. I even informed the company we needed to give the clients a couple of extra days to call back, but nothing was done about that. To avoid getting into trouble, when a client calls back after the report has been submitted, I no longer offer to add that extra information. So much for working 'above and beyond' and instead of receiving a thank-you, I get into trouble. Also, I have received phone calls from the company to help them out, that someone is unable to do a job, and again, as a company person wanting to help out, I always did, only to get into trouble again for not submitting the report yet. I used to say I've only just received the job, but I no longer help out when asked anymore, either. Instead of getting a thank-you, I get into trouble.
