There was a time I wouldn't have wanted to work anywhere else. If you're passionate about what you do and are looking for a progressivwe forward looking company, I would look elsewhere first
The good thingsWorked with so many good people over the years I worked there, lots of good people doing their best for the company and customers.
The challengesUpper Management, The current CEO and Chairman are slowly driving the company into the ground. They both lack passion for the industry, vision, drive, leadership and any new ideas. Lots of spurious talk about "people being the greatest asset" etc. but actions talk louder than words.Very sad when you think about the company it used to be.

    Career dead end
The good thingsSome great people with good potential if given the chance to develop further.
The challengesCEO does not care about people at all. I believe this company is heading downhill. This company does not value hard work and loyalty and does not develop the ability to generate income. No employee recognition, training or benefits.

PM Automotive is no longer a strong industry leader
The good thingsIt was a company with a long solid industry reputation with a high caliber of people. Mangement was experienced and the company attracted professionals with extensive industry knowledge who were approachable, involved and supportive.
The challengesExecutive Management changed with limited industry experience. Inadequate leadership strength to drive change and relies too heavily on external consultants with limited reference to internal people and experience.

The good thingsWhen joining the company, PM had a family vibe. Something that they have carried for many years. Due to changes in higher management, this all changed and they introduced a corporate environment which was sad to see given that PM has/had tenured employees.
The challengesSupport from higher management was lacking due to the inexperience of management. New manager were brought from outside of the automotive industry.

I started their as Mechanic and Preston Motors provided me the opportunity to get in the Holden training in Port Melbourne which was quite good. Apart from that I had a great experience with staff and management, everyone out there is quite nice and frien

The challengesYou have to work on lots of cops cars, which has modification to the wiring for gadgets. It could be challenging at times to work out the actual wiring harnesses and repairing faults.
