Loved the clients but was not keen on the head office not following up my concerns.
The good thingsWorking with the lovely clients on a daily basis and ensuring premium care for all tasks they were required.
The challengesContact with the administration with any concerns which were noted by myself but not acknowledged by the office. Clients would request me and this would cause friction as I tried to accomodate as best I possibly could to keep things moving smoothly.

Amazing - I can't imagine working anywhere else
The good thingsAmazing company culture. Collaborative management style and always supportive. Flexible working and genuinely promote work/life balance
The challengesNothing - a positive work environment and culture is so difficult to find, other companies portray this, but never live that value - Prestige absolutely does

A great small company to work for. Be willing to speak up.
The good thingsSmall company with a nice office. Great culture and values. People are nice. Brilliant end of year events. Management is willing to take in feedback. Really looks after clients.
The challengesLots of growing pains as the company grew in quickly in size over the years. So, it is still developing some processes and supports that are quite established in other businesses. The business runs relatively lean which is good as it means less bureaucracy. However, it also means that something that might feel evident to someone might be missing in the organisation. However, with competing demands, process improvements run slowly.

    Wouldn't recommend working for Prestige
The good thingsThe people I worked with
The challengesConflicting directions from senior management. Poor communication and direction from senior management. Too many clients to look after. Prestige weren't interested in capping caseloads or looking at how teams and systems can function better, just profits.

A great place with great ethics as its base.. with better operational process structures in place would have been amazing.
The good thingsGreat supportive colleagues Opportunities to learn constantly Great focus on client care
The challengesAt the time a disconnect with some management in regards to operational management amongst themselves and the directions and expectations placed on staff for job role with sometimes little effective support made this very challenging at times.

Skill building but also managing many egos simultaneously
The good thingsThe pay and you are not micro managed
The challengesBring a small company, there is not really any solid processes in place for most tasks. Carers are very hard to schedule and often clients are left without care. Many small problems that could be tweaked and really lift the efficiency of this company if management had more confidence.

Never again and I would never recommend this organisation to prospective employees or clients
The good thingsColleagues were incredibly supportive
The challengesThis company sells itself as a family organisation. Let me clear, whilst there are some family member whom work together, it is not family friendly. There is no work life balance. The main aim of this organisation is to profit as much as possible and at all costs. They over promise and under deliver to clients and staff alike. Before commencing work with this organisation, talk about staff turn over, it says it all!

    Corporate focused
The good thingsThe hiring process is fairly easy. They are willing to high people with limited work experience just out of uni and TAFE
The challengesThey make you collect PPE in person. They value the client's money more than your health and wellbeing. You have to pay for your own uniform and not all training is paid for.

The Prestige Values and the teams' over-arching commitment to clients and their families is the strongest Value-Set I have ever experienced.
The good thingsMy On-Boarding process was excellent: It was thoughtfully structured and touched every department; allowing me to connect with colleagues based in Melbourne who would otherwise be unaware of my role.
The challengesSometimes I don't know the answer to clients' questions... however my colleagues are always willing to assist and expand my knowledge-base.

I feel at home working for Prestige. I feel like I am making a difference in the lives of the aged care and disability sector. I truly enjoy the diversity of my role, and thoroughly enjoy the work.
The good thingsPrestige has a great culture, Inclusive, friendly and everyone is always willing to help. It is a very family orientated business and also very customer focused. I felt I was given so much support and training to do my role, and start a new career path
The challengesCovid has given most business's challenges recently. However I feel Prestige rose to the challenges, keeping staff connected whilst working from home, and constantly reviewing challenges faced in the industry due to Covid.

I've been adopted by the most chaotic but loving family I could ever want to be a part of and I wouldnt change it for the world
The good thingsLots of really positive people around the business. The culture of the business is like a family. The company is agile and they implement a lot of change. if you're a fan of continuous improvement then you can really get some serious project management experience under your belt with Prestige. High level of competence with all the staff they hire, means that theres nobody that isnt pulling their weight. Every day everyone puts in a great effort because they're driven by passion and they love their role.
The challengesLots of change means you have a lot of plates spinning at one time. It also means there is a lot going on at any given time. If you are the type who likes to coast in your role then Prestige might not be for you.

Wonderful caring and family focussed business, providing crucial support for vulnerable clients with a great team of care and office people.

    Amazing, encouraging and supportive!
The good thingsI couldn't recommend this company enough- I joined as a temp in February and had my contract extended. Immediately I was treated as a valued and respected member of the team and it was always apparent that I had a support network there for me when needed. They celebrate their employees and at the Bondi Junction office where I worked we had monthly team lunches at the office and they offer you a day-off on your birthday. I believe the pay rate is very reasonable too- if only I could stay longer!
The challengesOccasionally there were difficult situations regarding last-minute rostering if a carer was sick however it is always apparent that you have a strong support network to reach out to if you ever feel the need.

Working for Prestige was a truly memorable and rewarding experience and I would recommend as a leader and employer of choice for Aged Care & HACC.
The good thingsThe culture at head office. Prestige really do care, this is reflected in the staff they hire. Prestige has great values and business resources to achieve your targets. Very supportive management who do listen and the best CEO I have had the privilege to work for.
The challengesThe industry has ever so changing staffing needs for each client. Recruiting volume staff for a long period of time is not ideal without mixing it up the role a bit. Unfortunately Prestige did not have another internal opportunity for me, otherwise I would have stayed long term.

Prestige is a lovely run business with a lot of potential, very selective in their hires but always has the client first. Never a problem in getting through the office, however I just wished they had more work. They possibly brought on too many staff.
The good thingsPrestige honestly created a very selective approach to their staffing. I guess it shows they really care about who they hire and I feel this approach drew me into company even more! You can tell this when I worked with a few of the other PCA's that this was a priority for them. I really enjoyed the few clients I worked with and I will have fond memories for a long time.
The challengesNot receiving enough RN shifts in my area, I would be happy to return to Prestige assuming the work was available in the East.

Prestige lives by their name Prestigious. They have created a very special experience for me and I am forever grateful I have given to opportunity to return to the community care industry to support our clients over these past few months. Thank you for taking a chance on me!
The good thingsHelping clients in my community is the reason I wake up every morning. Prestige have competent care staff (unlike so many others) every PCA I have worked alongside, I would regard as high quality. They have achieved an "exclusivity" and high quality repetition in the industry and you can tell this by the way the girls match you clients and the team recruit their carers.
The challengesMore hours! I feel sometimes I get lost in the crowd a little, but when I call up they are very accommodating and do their best to roster me up.

Challenging and stimulating through its work, supportive and progressive with its leadership!
The good thingsTo be provided with such work stimulation and variety is a wonderful aspect of the work. To be supported and guided with clarity in leadership is a reassuring feature of this company.
The challengesAll companies in all workforces encounter challenges and certain hurdles - that's life and work! Prestige Inhome Care through its leadership team and structure easily allows for help, guidance and constructive feedback for its workers whenever they need. This is a really important aspect for a company to be considered supportive, progressive and overall a 'good' place to work

I'm proud to be a part of the Prestige Family, and work for a company that shares my values.
The good thingsIt's so great to work for a company who recognises and rewards effort and achievements. I have been made to feel so welcome by everyone in the company from Day 1 and now after just one year I really feel like part of the family. During my first week at Prestige, several people told me it was the best place they had ever worked, and now I know why. They really live their company values at every level of the organisation. I really appreciate the work life balance and flexibility, and there are lots of opportunities to grow. Management is always encouraging new ideas and it feels great to be part of a team which is constantly looking for ways to improve and evolve. Seeing how much of a difference we are making in our clients' lives is highly rewarding. As a Prestige employee, I'm excited about what the future holds...
The challengesCOVID-19 has definitely made work life challenging for me, as I'm a mum and having the kids home 24-7 whilst working part-time has not been a breeze. But Prestige have been really helpful in supporting me to work from home during this time and providing me the resources I need. Little things like being able to attend a staff yoga class on zoom and arranging virtual morning teas for the team have made such a difference. The company has been very sensitive to the challenges that staff are currently facing and are extremely supportive.

I like being able to make an impact in what I do.
The good thingsI enjoy the flexibility and support I have from my team and the business. It's easy to get caught up in the seriousness of the day to day, but I've found everyone is always up for a chat and a laugh. I like that the company's values have recently been revisited and everyone can play a part in how we make sure this comes to life.
The challengesWe've all been going through trying times and the world as we know it has changed. It's reassuring to belong in a company that has a very clear purpose, with ambition to be the best. There are challenges in being part of a growing company, a great deal of changes have come about, even in the short time I've been here, but it is a place where I feel I can truly contribute and make a difference.
