Was a great place to work at in its prime...
The good thingsThe people I worked with were amazing - still friends with them to this day. They were truly passionate about what they worked on. A loyal customer following was there too - very engaged.
The challengesManagement operated in a bubble - had no idea what was going on within the company, or outside. Bad decision after bad decision, with no accountability.

    Corporate cowboys
The good thingsGreat people, excellent work-life balance.
The challengesTerrible upper management that haven't got a clue about software, and couldn't care less about the staff. As the company is moving to Boston, and has been 100% sold to an American company, QSR is at its last legs.

Don't work here as the company was bought out by an American Investment company who control the reigns and moved most jobs offshore to the US. Most Australian staff were made redundant.
The good things- Flexibility and good work life balance. - Genuinely good people working for the company
The challenges- Poorly managed organisation with weak and incompetent executive and leadership - Owned by an American Investment Ccompany

A very challenging role but with huge career growth
The good thingsAt the time I worked there the CEO was approachable and the management team had a strong vision of where they wanted to develop the company. Regular staff meetings kept us up to date on company developments and there was complete transparency on financials which was refreshing and made everyone feel very inclusive.
The challengesWorking with a global team meant there were meetings held outside of standard business hours. The software was hard to market as it's quite complicated and has a very niche market. My direct manager was very demanding and pedantic but also taught me a lot.

A nightmare if you are in software development
The good thingsGenuinely nice, friendly people in SWD who do the best they can to deliver even when not provided with any real direction.
The challengesClueless leadership is sinking this company. Dont let fake reviews fool you, the people in software development are not happy by the poor leadership, secretive agenda, and non-stop back and forth of the corporate “strategy”.
