Good introduction to the hotel industry. The good thingsManagement were fantastic. Very supportive and genuinely care for their team. Obviously this differs from franchise to franchise, but it was an absolute pleasure to work for and with the franchisee and managers at Quest Royal Gardens.
Being a smaller hotel, I got to wear a lot of different hats and had a lot more variation in my role than a standard hotel reservations member.
The challengesShift work, low pay, not much opportunity for career development. Not a very challenging or exciting role as every day is the same.
