Overall, Recovery Partners is a great place to work and I enjoyed my time. The good thingsWorking as a consultant at Recovery Partners has been a genuinely positive experience. The organisation is strongly focused on professional development, and there are excellent opportunities to build both technical and practical skills across injury management, return to work and broader occupational rehabilitation. Ongoing PD is actively encouraged, well structured, and relevant to real-world practice rather than being a tick-box exercise.
One of the standout aspects of Recovery Partners is the level of support from leadership. Managers are engaged, accessible, and genuinely invested in both client outcomes and consultant wellbeing. Feedback is regular, constructive, and meaningful, and there is a strong culture of collaboration rather than micromanagement. Consultants are trusted to do their jobs, while still having backing when navigating complex or challenging cases.
The team culture is professional, supportive and solutions-focused. There is a clear emphasis on quality outcomes.
The challengesAs with any role in workers’ compensation, one of the challenges can be managing unrealistic expectations from some customers who don’t fully understand legislative or scheme limitations. This can occasionally result in unreasonable recommendations or pressures that need careful, evidence-based management. That said, Recovery Partners provides strong leadership support in these situations, which makes a significant difference.
