DG agent - Sea Freight & International Logistics Cordinator
    Jun 2025
Rydalmere NSW 21167 to 8 years in the role, current employee
In my role as an International Logistics Coordinator at Rheem, I navigate a variety of complex challenges on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. These challenges encompass the management of global supply chains, optimizing freight logistics, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating cross-border transportation strategies. Each day presents the need to adapt to fluctuating market conditions, assess risks, and implement effective solutions to streamline operations and maintain efficiency in our logistics processes.
The good thingsThe work environment at Rheem is exceptional, characterized by a supportive leadership team. The company offers a high level of job security, having established itself as a reputable institution over the past 80 years. It is a privilege to contribute to this enduring legacy.
The challengesThere is a noticeable hesitation to adopt essential changes, and individuals appear to be firmly entrenched in their established practices.

A good private corporate at the head of the pack
The good thingsBalanced corporate culture looking beyond themselves and supporting decent charitable causes. Good work life balance with reasonable WFH policies. Improving employee benefits. Good mix of new and longer serving employees.
The challengesThere's a lot of positive change going on in the business - staffing that has been a challenge.

A long-term employee who has had multiple opportunities for development and promotion.
The good thingsLots of varied experiences and challenges. Forward-looking company looking at new and better ways to do things. People consider Rheem to be their second family and have a great deal of care for each other.
The challengesSome of the older employees are hesitant to take on new technology and methodologies.

I worked for 10 years. Feel like wasted my 10 years, my health, my blood, sweat, my skills, education, knowledge. No respect for older employees who spent their life in this organization to make them strong & rich.
The good thingsFamous, popular brand ! Product will have market untill people will have shower with hot water rather than installing shower aap on their mobile to feel like having virtual shower.
The challengesSeveral products are now manufactured out of Australia. Wrong policy. If every co. in Australia takes manufacturing t overseas, unemployment will grow. If no job who will buy overseas cheap products if no jobs to earn vages. In few decades this will happen.

Well balanced manufacturing site. Would recommend.
The good thingspleasant working atmosphere, honest and dedicated staff. Varied engineering projects. I liked the opportunities Rheems manufacturing environment presents.
The challengesToo excessive micro-management techniques enforced by some upper level management. On occasions too much emphasis on administrative side of engineering projects; too much focus on non-value adding procedures. Slightly outdated offices fit-out.
