good while it lasted, sad to see the physical stores go. management needs some serious training.
The good thingsGreat people at store level, once you knew what you were doing it was a great job
The challengesNo proper training, expectations of employees were way too high (KPI's, free overtime daily), micromanagement was insane from store managers and higher, ancient and outdated systems, if you made friends you were relocated to a different store away from them.

    I love sanity
The good thingsSanity is one of the best places I ever worked at. It is such a happy, fun and friendly environment
The challengesKeeping up to date, there is a lot of doubling up, for eg daily diary recordings are already digitally recorded therefore wasting time that could be spent on customer connection

The worst company I have ever worked for.
The good thingsThe other staff were friendly.
The challengesManagement was extremely rude and had completely unrealistic expectations which meant staff had to work back overtime for free to keep their jobs.

Nice staff, good discount, but low hours, low pay, and management don’t really care about staff, they just want to reach goals and profits
The good thingsYou get an alright staff discount That’s probably about it really
The challengesVery rarely do you get shifts with other people, so bathroom breaks are an inconvenience The hours are always low unless you’re a manager etc, so don’t expect there to be decent pays, especially considering it’s probably one of the lower pay rates for retail You’re expected to drop everything to continuously ask customers if they want help, which yeah that’s part of retail, but they push you to dive on customers, and it’s always about upselling and making profit and reaching kpi’s

    Admit the ship is sinking
The good thingsTalking about Music and Movies all day and making good friends with customers.
The challengesWhere to begin. We are fighting against the inevitable. I will give it to upper management for trying to introduce new products but to actually save this company we will need to do a complete turn around. Such a bummer for those of us in store trying to remain positive. \"We can do it!\" just doesn't cut it anymore. No, we can't.

they don’t care about their people and are completely out of touch. Would not recommend working here.
The good thingsThe team you work with
The challengesWorking alone most of the time as they can’t afford to roster anymore. Trying to get all the tasks and stock done that is expected with no help while they still expect 100% customer focus. Higher management completely out of touch with working in store.
