Completed my first year last Christmas season and is far the best experience i had. Managers are so kind and caring especially towards the younger staff ( I was 15 at the time). I highly recommend working in the Christmas season because you make long lasting friends

If you love people, purpose, and a bit of organised chaos, this is the place to be.
The good thingsThe team environment is one of the biggest highlights — supportive, energetic, and full of people who are passionate about what they do. It's a place where creativity is encouraged, and no two days are ever the same. There’s a real sense of purpose behind the work; when your role revolves around spreading joy and creating magical, memorable moments for customers, it’s hard not to enjoy coming to work. Whether you're in a seasonal role or a more permanent position, you're made to feel like part of the family, and that makes a big difference.
The challengesLike any job in the events industry, it comes with its busy periods. Peak season, especially around the holidays, can be intense, and you’ll often find yourself juggling multiple tasks and solving problems on the fly. It’s a fast-paced environment where being flexible and quick-thinking is essential. The workload can fluctuate quite a bit, with quieter times followed by long, demanding days. But if you thrive under pressure and love the energy of events, it’s all part of the excitement.

The good thingsReally fun, creative work! Potential to work on a variety of projects, particularly in seasonal roles Supportive workplace & management Opportunities for experience and career growth in many areas
The challengesBusy periods (e.g. Santa season) and event days can be hectic; long hours on your feet

    Busy in a good way
The good thingsThe people and dedication of the team. This company has grown over the years and the core staff are long term who have a lot of knowledge and commitment. They care about their work and each other and in the busy stressful times, they support each other and always go the extra distance.
The challengesThere are always things to improve in such a big company that does so many things. Staffing is challenging on events that don't run frequently and when the Santa season gets going, its a lot to manage.

    Demoralising, draining and frustrating
The good thingsGreat experiences with customers and team members
The challengesGetting paid, getting reimbursed for company expenses such as travel and equipment on set (don't expect it regardless of what you're told), communication, disorganisation on the back end, the upper management staff who do care are spread too thin to be effective, the upper management staff who don't care are given to gossip and rudeness

    Disappointed
The good thingsGood scope to enjoy children and families lovely time.
The challengesManagement are unorganised, not loyal to employees. Higher management Doesn’t care about people’s dedication or hard work, they will downgrade you based on your race not your skill. Bonus is another mirage that employee thinks they will get when they shows their best performance. But management has some other things in mind. They cannot be trusted.

Loved it, amazing experience if you enjoy working with children. Felt so good to see happy new families get their pictures with santa
The good thingsAmazing management who were there for you and cared. Especially helpful when dealing with stressed parents. Was not micromanaged like I have been in other places and was treated with respect. When mistakes were made, the management were understanding and kind.
The challengesNormal pay was good but no penalty rates was pretty slack, so it was hard to get people to work weekends.

Working as a customer service assistant was very fun but the hours that I got was not what I expected to receive!!!!!!!
The good thingsI learnt how to register customers using iPad, take photo, entertain children and provide customer service. I also learn how to set up and pack down a photography set. My pay was based on my age (not experience) and the law !
The challengesIt will be serving customers such as telling them the accurate information, as other employees will tell them different information such as the time that they have to wait to get their photo taken. Dealing with impatient customers is another challenge.

This job has very few good things going for it and I would strongly recommend AGAINST working for Scene to Believe
The good thingsI personally enjoyed being able to be a part of the magic of Christmas for families, however, this has nothing to do with how working for Scene to Believe was.
The challengesPay was often incorrect and it was a hassle to have sorted out and get paid correctly. Rosters came out very late and would change at the drop of a hat without warning. Supervisors on set were often absent and were often more preoccupied with personal discussions than supporting their other staff members.

    Fun, exciting, incredibly rewarding.
The good thingsThe people. Being able to put a smile on the face of children was so much fun. It's such an incredibly rewarding job.
The challengesSometimes early in the Christmas season especially while school is still on there can be days where you basically stand around for ages with hardly anybody showing up and it can be a struggle.
