Great Team, Great Culture, Great Experience
The good thingsThe ability to help clients feel confident and empowered is truly the best part of the job. Along with that, the positive and collaborative workplace culture makes every day enjoyable. I also love building strong relationships with both clients and staff, which adds so much meaning to the role.

Supportive, growth driven, elite education and processes
The good thingsThere are opportunities for career growth and development, and there is a lot of support! I started with SILK as an Educator, progressed to business development and now a proud Franchise Partner. This has been supported all the way through my career within this company. I also enjoy the culture and the way we live, breathe and celebrate our company values. I have been fortunate to also have fantastic work colleagues that believe in supporting and growing with you as part of a tight-knit team. The structure of our Education is also second to none.
The challengesConsistency in clinic culture across all locations.

Strong Culture, Clear Expectations, Positive Outcomes
The good thingsIt is such a genuinely positive experience coming to work each day. The company sets clear expectations and always gives you the support you need to exceed them. Passion and dedication is recognised, with notable progression of responsibility and for me personally that trust has allowed me to feel as though my efforts are seen, keep my motivation high and feel supported as I build a high performing team with consistently strong morale. Due to this the atmosphere in the clinic is upbeat, collaborative and enjoyable and this makes a noticeable positive impact on the teams performance and attitude. This is a job with a healthy mix of autonomy and guidance and when you take initiative, it’s noticed. They reward people who care about their work, communicate well, and drive outcomes. An experience where it feels like effort truly translates into progression.
The challengesA fast paced, high traffic environment that can be full on, but with the right team and attitude this energy feels empowering and exciting.

A wonderful company with ongoing support and recognition. Great for growth & rewards!
The good thingsEverything! I have never worked for such a supportive company that want to continuously grow your skills and knowledge. The ongoing support, care and trainings are amazing, I feel so spoilt here with how well looked after we are. There's a constant support base who are always willing to help in every aspect, whether its simple question or something more tricky, our amazing support team are always there to help. The praise and incentives from your hard work help you stay motivated. I'm really lucky to be working alongside a wonderful team who always put in their all, care for clients & want to keep growing & expanding their knowledge.
The challengesAs with any customer service role there can be some challenges with tricky instances, but with a full support team we can usually deal with any issues that may arise.

My experience has been defined by a positive, supportive team culture where collaboration turns challenges into opportunities and makes every day at work enjoyable.
The good thingsThe first thing I notice and appreciate is the culture. It’s supportive, encouraging, and promotes collaboration. Nothing ever feels too complicated because we work as a team and lift each other up. Contributing to and helping build this kind of positive work environment is something I value deeply. The dynamic goes beyond just tasks—it makes coming to work genuinely enjoyable.
The challengesChallenges? What challenges? When we’re faced with obstacles, it’s the strength of our company culture that helps us overcome them. The support, collaboration, and shared mindset within the team make even the toughest situations manageable. We don’t just get through challenges—we grow through them together.

An incredibly supportive workplace with amazing people, where I grew both personally and professionally and felt truly valued every day.
The good thingsHaving such a supportive team by my side in the clinic and forming genuine bonds with amazing women I was lucky enough to work with every day, all while doing what I love — helping clients feel their best. I was so grateful to work with such wonderful clients, whose appreciation and kindness made the experience even more rewarding.
The challengesI truly enjoyed every aspect of working at SILK Wagga, and if it weren’t for relocating, I would still be there. I deeply miss the supportive atmosphere and the amazing people I worked with each day. The challenges I encountered were valuable opportunities that helped me grow into the person I am today, and I will be forever grateful to have had Shivawn, Leah, and the girls in my corner every day for 3.5 years.

Genuine, supportive and great culture! This place just gets it.
The good thingsI truly enjoy working here. They say when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work and that’s exactly how it feels. The support across the team is incredible no one’s ever left to struggle alone, and there’s a real sense of “we’re in this together.” The culture is one of the best parts positive, collaborative, and genuinely uplifting. It’s the kind of environment that makes you want to show up and give your best every day.
The challengesThe industry moves quickly, and adapting to change is part of the job. Thankfully, the team is collaborative and leadership encourages continuous learning and training.

The challenges- Management (Lack of Accountability) - Being pushed to do things you’re not comfortable with - Appointments being shortened to fit other clients, this leads to being told you have poor time management - Others will promise unrealistic expectations and will fall back on you I could keep going forever..

Fun and fast paced work in a collaborative and supportive environment
The good thingsI love working at SILK laser clinics, my days are filled with making content for exciting projects and sales, making creative animations and creating the graphics for eDMs, helping with internal projects and creating under the direction of the marketing managers. I’m really lucky to be in a diverse role where every day is a little bit different, the pace is fast, the management and the team culture is super supportive (although I’ve only been working for SILK for a short time, I’ve already been given the opportunity for extra training and the freedom and trust to develop my skills in animation and video editing). The working arrangements are flexible to support working families, with the option to work from home when I need to. On top of this, the incentives are incredible, with free laser hair removal and treatment and skincare perks, I couldn’t be happier.
The challengesThe workload is heavy, but not overwhelming or impossible to manage, if you’re switched on and have some hyper focusing super powers, it’s all manageable.

Having a great manager makes all the difference and really keeps the team together - the Mackay clinic is the WORST clinic to work for.
The good thingsFree products. Incentives when you reach your KPIs. Good training on how to sell.
The challengesOther staff claiming your sale as theirs. Terrible pay. Someone with years experience will get paid the same as someone who has only just completed a certificate. The constant push for sales drains you of your passion for the industry. Very very sales-focused. Constant sales on treatments do not keep staff excited and clients see this too. I personally will never opt to work for a franchise again.
