Great seasonal role with amazing perks!
The good thingsSki Rider makes you feel right at home and like you are part of a family. They offer a great work/life balance and plenty of opportunity to ride or ski. All the staff get on really well with each other and management really looks after their staff. The food is DELICIOUS and they always have entertainment on offer such as bands, magicians, trivia night etc. I couldn't recommend this place enough!
The challengesI personally don't find anything here a challenge but some staff tend to get a little bit of cabin fever if they don't get out enough.

    Loving seasonal work
The good thingsFirst of all, you're working a snow season, does it get much better than that? Opening your window to snow falling is pretty magical. Accommodation and all meals are $200 a week, also included is the free shuttle up the mountain. In comparision to other places, it's a pretty sweet deal. You don't have any travel time, you can waddle downstairs to work. Everything is included and taken out before tax, as well as you are earning casual hospitality wages so you can save pretty well, as long as you aren't silly. Working and living at Ski Rider feels like you're apart of a big family; you're constantly around your mates, so it's a lot of fun and a good vibe. Then on you're days off or half days off you get to ski and board all day, how good is that?
The challengesI would recommend getting out of the hotel most days or having alone time as you will get cabin fever.

Couldn't leave that place fast enough
The good thingsThe only good thing about this place is being close to the mountain & the lovely people you meet.
The challengesPoor working environment, and paying $200 a week for a bed in a room - being feed food that makes you sick as it's days old.

Everyone needs to do one season, at least!
The good thingsGreat location and flexibility in the staff pool
The challengesStaff accomodation. Living/working/playing in the same location breeds cabin fever and tensions grow.
