    Healthcare agony: SNP
The good thingsInteracting with patients is the single positive of this job
The challengesThe pay is abysmal, management believe mistreating thier staff is business as usual, management will harrass you if you dont turn-over a patient every 7 minutes regardless of if they faint, have a phobia or other medical episode. They also provide unrealistic timeframes for collection routes and will not expand the time if your provided more collections than usual. All to admonish you when you return to the lab.

    A terribly disappointing experience.
The good thingsI don't really have anything to write about what I enjoyed but I need to provide 20 words so I can submit this HONEST review.
The challengesEverything. Poor pay, poor management, poor staff care, poor WHS.

Would not recommend working for this company! Get a job at Aldi instead.
The good thingsWas a good company to work for when I first started.
The challengesNeeds BIG improvement on the extremely poor pay rate for the more and more responsibilities collectors get lumped on them! The couriers get paid more.

The job itself I enjoyed, a lot of the people not so much
The good thingsThe job itself I really enjoyed. There were a small number of people who were genuinely nice and I got along with well.
The challengesPay is poor compared to other companies for the same job. Staff and management were unsympathetic when it came to dealing with stress and mental health issues.

The challengesManagement are awful. HR dept is a joke. Nepotism is rife. Avoid.

I had very fast career progression resulting in getting my dream position in pathology in short period of time because of the platform and support provided by my managers at Townsville region. They gave a very good review about my work ethics, dependability and work performance to hiring manager that helped me significantly to secure my dream job. I will always remain indepted to my managers at Townsville region for providing a very pleasant work environment and helping me in my career progression. To all colleagues at Townsville region, you were awesome - i really enjoyed working with you guys. This was the most pleasant work place i have ever had.
The good thingsEveryone including managers, colleagues, and trainers were so nice to me and highly supportive. When i first started the job everyone helped me to learn and managers gave me a fixed roster that suited my lifestyle. Managers supported me in my career progress immensely.
The challengesSometime when you are so busy and tired some patient can be really very rude, which doesn't feel very good.

Not the place for neurodivergent peers
The good thingsBusiness is close to a trainline. Very modern facilities. Fellow employees are kind and welcoming. Upkeep of (most) equipment.
The challengesPoor management/employee relations. Unfriendly and not understanding of neurodivergent employees.

Very toxic and useless HR department.
The good thingsSome of the workers there were nice.
The challengesSo toxic!! This includes Highland Park Hub and Pindara Hospital collection centre. Management are not interested in cleaning it up, I wouldn’t recommend working at those 2 places.

It's a place where it promotes a toxic work environment for little pay.
The good thingsMost of your coworkers are lovely people.
The challengesYOU should be flexible but THEY won't be flexible with you. Taking time off for personal needs can be perceived as challenging due to "resource constraints" (ALWAYS understaffed). Managers are terrible at rostering and are always all over the place. There is blatant favouritism and managerial-decision making MOSTLY reflect personal biases, especially with people they are close with. They only want you to be "YES"-men, creating a work environment that discourages refusal or disagreement (even if it's positive-criticism). Managers are rude and will undermine your worth. And lastly, terrible pay.

Management (In Townsville) exhibits unprofessional behavior, displaying favoritism, outdated views, and rudeness, while providing inconsistent support that's often contingent on validating employees' issues or reasons.
The good thingsI enjoyed working with the community who were generally appreciative of your skills
The challenges are the biggest issues I witness or have been a victim of - 1. Favoritism: Management displays bias, limiting growth opportunities for disfavored staff. (Townsville office - collections and operation manager) 2. Outdated policies: Absenteeism policies are inflexible, and management can be unprofessional when addressing absences. 3. Targeted treatment: Individuals who speak up or don't conform face scrutiny. 4. High turnover and low compensation: Staff turnover is excessive, and hourly rates are below market standards. 5. Unreasonable expectations: Employees are expected to work 6-day weeks, while management does not reciprocate. 6. Inefficient rostering: Management struggles with scheduling, shifting blame to staff for coverage gaps. You can see from previous reviews this and similar issues are ongoing, long standing issues that management refuse to acknowledge

    Incompetent and hostile management team.
The good thingsWorking autonomously, generally working alongside staff who support and appreciate your work, Patient appreciation & instant (usually good) feedback.
The challengesEmployees at this company face a lack of support and communication from direct managers and trainers once in the collection centers. Emails raising issues are ignored unless followed up, leading to rude and defensive responses from management. Despite claiming to be supportive, management's behavior changes when in a bad mood or when business operations are affected. High staff turnover and favoritism are commonplace, with limited career development opportunities. Increasing hourly rates requires additional training or working long hours. Management is perceived as grumpy and unresponsive, expecting 6-day work weeks and shutting down collection rooms due to staff shortages. Their inadequate management experience is evident in their handling of staff communication and problem resolution.

Spoke with management and was informed ‘I know it’s toxic, what do you expect me to do about it?’ I was there less than 5 weeks before I’d resigned
The good thingsThe job itself is amazing
The challengesThe team culture I found quite toxic. Not a team, as you get left without any help.

Excellent group of people to work with and work for. Management were great with flexibility with shifts and the team I worked with on the Gold Coast were amazing! I only left because I had to relocate interstate and I will miss them terribly.
The good thingsManagement were great with flexibility with shifts and the team I worked with on the Gold Coast were amazing! I only left because I had to relocate interstate and I will miss them terribly.
The challengesNone really, although I did want to upskill to increase my hourly rate. It was a matter of first in best dressed for the training courses and I get that.

Stable company but needs a huge shakeup in how they treat staff
The good thingsSome of the people I work with are exceptional humans who care about great patient service
The challengesPoor management strategies has led to a toxic work environment which is causing undue stress on staff. Minimal career development (don't believe what they write in the job ads!) and average remuneration.

Poor work-life balance and horrible management in regional area.
The good thingsMost of the lower level staff are fantastic.
The challengesPoor management in regional areas. Management say they have an open door policy yet when you got to them it is ignored and not actioned. Poor work-life balance. Management only remembers bad things, they don’t acknowledge or thank you when you or your team has done something good. You are just a role filler, not a person.

The good thingsMajority of the staff are super friendly, my department was pretty flexible with shifts and catering for needs. Lots of opportunties to move around in the company.
The challengesMain laboratory has no staff parking, street parking is sparse and is expensive. The pay rate was average.

Disappointed in the overall experience of working for this company. Management values need to be changed to improve staff morale.
The good thingsGood Cafeteria with a varied food selection. Generally good natured staff at the lower levels.
The challengesVery poor pay rates, hence why they do not ever advertise them and say "generous renumeration" . Management clearly do not want to deal with staff issues when brought up to their attention.
