A challenging yet rewarding role supporting clients to achieve meaningful employment outcomes.
The good thingsI’ve enjoyed helping clients achieve their employment goals, working collaboratively with the team, and developing my skills in case management and employer engagement.
The challengesSome clients can be challenging to work with, but there are also many clients who are very cooperative and appreciative, which makes the work rewarding.

Great job with some minor drawbacks
The good thingsManagement and the team. Independence is valued and a good mix of admin and client facing work. Nice to have tangible positive impact in the community.
The challengesCareer upskilling and progression. Not that it’s absent, just limited/slow. A relatively remote role, so computer skill and self discipline are a must.

    Some amazing people work here
The good thingsSome amazing people work here who genuinely care about their communities and making a difference to the lives of our clients. Recent business growth has provided more internal career opportunities as well as brought in some excellent new talent. It's a busy place, always something to do.
The challengesSome contracts are very challenging to deliver profitably.

Great team and great place to work.
The good thingsGreat team culture and enjoyable place to work. Opportunities to upskill and progress through the company. Being able to assist clients reduce or remove barriers to employment and helping them achieve a better quality of life through wrap around servicing. The team I have worked with for the past 3 years has been the best team, all working together to achieve the best results for the clients and the company and still being able to banter and have a great time together both in work and out.
The challengesSlow Government systems. But otherwise, no major challenges to the role.

The challengesAt times it can be challenging when assisting clients with barriers.

A great company that really cares about people.
The good thingsGreat to see the executive care so much about staff in what is a challenging industry. Government contracts are always challenging and assisting the unemployed is one of the greatest challenges and front-line staff do an amazing job at Sureway.
The challengesThese are challenging roles and can be very emotionally taxing. Also companies are required to meet the benchmarks of the contracts whilst supporting staff and participants.

Definitely better jobs out there, I probably wouldn’t work as a employment consultant again
The good thingsSome nice staff you get to work with
The challengesThe rushed training which consisted of doing 100 modules online (not much training after that) learn as you go. The pay isn’t great considering the high demand and certain clientele you have to work with. Most clients don’t show up so your left to chase chase chase.

Absolute life saver! However, You can lead a horse to water... But you can't make it drink!
The good thingsThe people that you are working with. Build some great friendships. This has been the BEST boss I have ever worked for
The challengesThe daily struggle with some clients we get through the door can be a very challenging aspect. Which involves trying to change people's mindsets.

Horrible and debilitating on your Mental Health
The good thingsYou are offered an hour for lunch and get to take a day off for your birthday.
The challengesToxic management. Micro-managing, clique-y and upper management don't actually care about the clients or their barriers, they're all about the $$

Carer growth potential and transparency, and very rewarding
The good thingsGreat continuous training at all times available to all staff. Management is great and offer transparency. Working at Sureway is very rewarding, in line with the company values: Changing lives and building stronger communities.
The challengesHaving the right staff within teams, you need to be able to talk to people and have a 'want' to help people into employment while balancing their barriers into suitable and sustainable roles. It can be done worth the right attitude

Supportive and great place to work, very poor payment though.
The good thingsStaff and management are very supportive.
The challengesThe pay level is so low. I love working here but I am sadly having to look elsewhere with a better pay rate as the cost of living is rising but our wages aren't.

Amazing job, though incredibly clicky, unsupportive company that's biggest focus is money
The good thingsSupporting people to achieve there career goals. Awesome coworkers
The challengesManagement are more focused on numbers and $$. They disregard the fact that we are assisting humans with life decisions. The KPI's are unrealistic and there is no support offered when asking for help, though plenty of criticism when you don't do everything perfectly

One of the worst for profit providers to work for. No support for staff, management changes often each one worse than the last
The good thingsSome of the other staff were nice
The challengesUpper management toxic, clients not treated with respect everyone is a number. Yelled at by management in front of everyone a couple of times for things outside my control. Self confidence plummeted during my time with this company.

    extremely rewarding
The good things-supportive team members - Management very active and supportive, coming to the office at least once a week - being able to provide support and encouragement to clients - building relationships with clients is the most reliable part
The challengessome clients are in difficult situations that you have no control over, all you can do is ensure they feel supported, know you're a call away and provide them with any references they need to encourage them to get assistance
