    Not great experience
    The good thingsThe discount was great. They send you a thank you gift card after you finish up working with them.
    The challengesTiny store gets very hot especially when busy. Customers are unfriendly and demanding. No help from other team members when busy. The ladders are unsafe to use. The shop floor is always a mess.

    The good thingsSenior Leadership constantly bickering behind each others backs. Team Members openly despise each other and gossip a lot. A lot of exclusion of new employees. Role Descriptions don't match expectations. Pay is poor compared to competitors. Benefits don't makeup for the toxic culture. More focus is put on Indigenous Reconciliation then on staff morale and reducing turnover

    The challengesHigh turnover in payroll team constantly training new people and they leave Immature management No culture Unable to take leave. Weekly payroll every Monday means no taking Monday's off. Weekly payroll means no time off over Xmas/End of Year 0 career progression 0 company paid parental leave

    Enjoyable and challenging, team orientated as opposed to dog-eat-dog attitude.
    The good thingsThe culture in most of the stores was of a high standard. Karrinyup was the standout store for me in Perth and of course, Pitt Street Sydney was the best team without a doubt, along with a great results-driven Manager at the time. Apparel wear is affordable and the Sleepwear and loungewear products are fashionable and comfortable and use natural fibres.
    The challengesSalary was lower than average. At times gossip can have a negative roll-on effect.

    Working at Sussan was a great and wonderful experience, especially for someone (like myself) who is new to the retail industry as you learn all the key components. The people at Sussan were so welcoming and generous which made my first job absolutely delightful to work at.
    The good things- kind and caring coworkers + willing to help me if i needed assistance - so much effort and patience put into teaching me how to work in retail - store was kept tidy and clean - workers were understanding towards customers - clear instructions for tasks to be completed
    The challenges- fast paced environment for those who would generally struggle with - had issues with the original manager with delayed paychecks + delay in responding to messages/calls

    The good thingsLovely customers, I must say. I enjoy putting their purchases through. I love when customers ask me for my opinion. I love the beautiful clothes and their sizing. A very understanding Manager.
    The challengesClothes are expensive, so if you only work minimum 3 hrs or 4 hrs your pay goes quickly as your staff discount is 30%. You won't get a 35-hour week, but if you love clothes and fashion this is good entry point.

    Would not recommend.
    The good things- people you work with
    The challenges-very low discount on product- 30% for casual staff, with store managers/assistant managers receiving 50% off. - expected to wear only new product to work -if you get limited shifts, you are using your money to pay for product to wear to work. -store management was poor. I expect that the organisation does not provide training for managers, to actually be managers and lead the staff.

    An encouraging and empowering experience, helping women to feel comfortable and beautiful inside and out.
    The good thingsVibrant and nice environment to work in, if you love clothes and love interacting with customers. The management is amazing, they aim to be very thorough and encouraging with the training. They're also really accommodating and flexible.
    The challengesSometimes you may face difficult customers. Specific work tasks such as learning how to do inbound and outbound store orders/transfers can be challenging to master.

    The good thingsStaying in touch with the fashion trends , good quality and great value . This goes with that at Sussan .
    The challengesI couldn’t say I found any area difficult. With training in all aspects of the store procedures it’s all pretty straight forward .

    The challengesIt’s not just standing around and folding clothes... a lot happens behind the scenes... high turn over in casuals staff as most don’t realise retail involves weekend work... Plus... Large deliveries, window changes, VM changes, the list never ends... No one ever leaves in management therefore it’s harder to get into management or Part time roles but if you advise management they will try and help

    The good thingsAs a casual the hours were very flexible and they were always happy for you to take time off for holidays/to study. I always worked in a lovely team of women!
    The challengesManagement was constantly changing and our store was often left for months at a time with no manager & no direction.
