A calling not just a job.
The good thingsOpportunities for personal and professional growth encouraged. Work as a team.
The challengesMeeting the needs of all residents with low staff ratios, a common problem within all aged care facilities. Managing challenging behaviours in our memory support unit.

    Fantastic!
The good thingsTanunda Lutheran was recommended to me by a friend I Studied with. Ive been here 6 months now and have had wonderful experiences. My hiring process/interview and orientation shifts were all very casual and the staff are amazing and welcoming people. It takes a certain kind of person to work in high care facilities and I was nervous to start with. But with the support of my managers and coworkers I've come to really enjoy working with high care/dementia residents.
The challengesI would love to see TLH increase staffing ratios (especially in the high care unit) as it can be difficult to have 1 EN and 1PCW for 35+ residents who need ALOT of support and attention overnight. But if you're passionate about this industry you'll soon realize that staffing ratios are a problem everywhere and not TLH specifically
