    A reasonable workplace
The good thingsExecs are reasonably good and approachable. Most managers are accomodative about days in office. Work paces is not too hectic but really depends of team and time of the year. Offices are spread out accorss many suburbs of major cities hence it's easier for employess to work in Remote Offices.
The challengesSome teams have great culture but some teams are under stress due to outsourcing and growing pains of old tech transformation under tight budgets. There are at times Old Guard v/s New Guard stand off and challenges but not to severe. Pay is not low but not great either. If you are planning to move from financial services or telco get ready for a cut. P&C benefits are not existent. No culture leave or volunteer leave though you could work things out with your manager in some teams. No extra leaves during year end as these come out of your annual leave and is a considerable loss. NO TRAINING BUDGET !!!

good staff leave regularly, promises need to be written.
The good thingsthe crew where really good to work with, could have a laugh during sortings. modern fleet to use for the vans. 99% if you got stuck, team would help out.
The challengesmanagement and some admin... need some humbling. some of the admin have expectations that are unobtainable at times. specially if you are a driver allocated to extremely time sensitive freight and asked to go collect something else asap (Agnes run is bad for this). big boss is absolutely out of touch with the boots on the ground. he is well known that if he makes a mistake to throw you under the bus. document everything with him.

Promised so much, delivered so little. Talked the talk, but didn't walk the walk!
The good thingsThe people at the coal face - the doers, care greatly for what they do and go the extra mile.
The challengesIT management has a need to turn years of neglect into DCoE overnight, without taking the people on an informed journey making life hard doing your job on a daily basis. They might be good strategically, but there is little, if any, EQ. Support and favourtism for those only in up and coming tech areas. Those in the legacy space don't get any cudos for keeping old systems alive on a day to day basis.

Unbelievable, sent me into a serious mental health downward spiral. It was a disgusting experience, and most of my colleagues felt the exact same way. Really disappointing.
The good thingsHaving at least some money and being employed.
The challengesAdvertised very sneakily as Customer Service Consultant. Yes, obviously that involves answering phones, sending emails, etc etc. BUT this is very different to it being an actual CALL CENTRE which is exactly what it turned out to be. No mention of this on advert or during interview. Appalling treatment of staff, and more fool me for not realising how call centres actually work (although not my fault as I was mislead.) EXTREME micromanagement, ridiculous inhumane metrics that are literally unattainable and the manager breathing down your neck asking you to explain why you took this long and that long on and off a call. Not able to actually help customers properly and basically forced to be a robot. Blew my mind. Advertised as rotating hours between 8 and 5pm, but no, it ended up being 9-5, non negotiable. This is false advertising and highly misleading. If I knew it was 9-5 with ZERO flexibility, I would never have applied. Sent me into a spiral of depression so I quit. DO NOT APPLY!!!

Horrible - extreme manual handling with no work life balance and the toll on your body was not worth it at the end of the day
The good thingson going work except occasional mishaps
The challengesBrian and Tupper as the fleet coordinators on the floor as well as some others didn`t care about drivers wellbeing rather push them to the limit where they will injure themselves

    Mid Level Management
    Dec 2023
Melbourne VIC 30001 to 2 years in the role, former employee
Overall, working for Team Global Express has been a challenge. Too many people have left the organisation due to a lack of support from management. HR seems to show no empathy and respect.
The good thingsOpportunity to learn from A to Z, new products and experience working during the company transformation.
The challengesThe company is a novice in almost every part of the business. The HR is driven by the senior leadership request rather than providing support to the middle management team. The company has more Heads to instruct than doers, leading to unreasonable workloads for the mid-level staff (the doers). Employee career growth, development and support are still in the early stages. Due to the several transformation phases, the company is experiencing rapid project shifts, which makes it challenging to sustain the project requirements.

    Team Leader
    Dec 2023
Melbourne VIC 30003 to 4 years in the role, former employee
Every achievement or milestone achieved resulted in increased expectations until it became impossible to achieve KPI's.
The good thingsThere was a lot of encouragement and opportunity to make imorovements to processes initially. Office location is good for those living in the South-East
The challengesLeadership style from director/senior manager level is very aggressive. High performers are overburdened with additional work. There is little understanding of the challenges that need to be overcome to hit objectives. There is little to no systems or digital presence - everything is managed manually on excel spreadsheets.

The good thingsThe business is slowly improving through huge transformation change program.
The challengesUncertainty and unclear approach during transformational change process.
