    Good stepping stone
The good thingsExcellent career development. Those who stay here for the right amount of time will learn enough skills to land a good job - somewhere else. Good Team. Select, qualified middle managers have enough scope to make the experience work well.
The challengesManagement is extremely poor, especially from the executive team. Remuneration is extremely low and not to industry standard, or married to the amount of workload. Politics was the biggest hurdle you are either 'in' or 'out' and the core team make it clear who is 'in'

    Good company overall
The good thingsOpportunity to grow within the company. Positive working environment. Have a sense of achievement after each and everyday.
The challengesImbalance of workload. Some managers work way harder than other managers. Not enough support from above.

Great for a foot in the door within the industry, but not for healthy longevity
The good thingsThere’s an annual bonus and most people are great. There is usually movement and opportunities within the company due to high staff turnover
The challengesVery poor management across the board, except in Finance. HR focus on grand, quirky initiatives and do nothing about ensuring staff concerns are addressed. Limited to no training offered unless you’re a manager. Management is often people who have no idea of their staff’s roles and tasks because they have not actually done it themselves. The company’s focus is on money, and there is very little interest or care about the people who work there. It is made clear that staff are simply replaceable resources.

Fast learners are appreciated but overall pay is too low for the level of skill required anf new staff find it very difficult to remain keen.
The good thingsA good annual bonus if you show initiative and work hard
The challengesRotating roster for shift workers. Busy, fast paced environment. Management are a little our of touch and do not give duty managers enough freedom to make decisions without fear of back lash.
