Great team culture - highly recommend
The good thingsI thoroughly enjoyed my two years of employment at The Glen. Management was always there for the staff - they have been the best management team I have worked with! I was given the opportunity to progress my development in hospitality during my time there.
The challengesSome periods can be busy but it was always enjoyable.

Good for work experience but not for a reliable job.
The good thingsFriendly co-workers. Can get free tap drinks on-duty. Managers are a bit off but they have a lot on their plate usually.
The challengesEveryone is casual and only managers can do part/full time. I was employed last year around November 2021, we were very busy. Last shift was February. And that was my LAST shift, contacted them for more work, said more will come…. 6 months later nothing. I’m technically still employed at the place but I feel jobless.

I love working here, many of the staff here have been working for the company for 30+ years, and I can definitely see why!
The good thingsFamily owned venue, so you always feel very supported. Coming to work feels like a type of home environment. More serious of course, but in terms of comfortability, support, productivity and well being, it feels like a home.
The challengesGetting a park to come to work on busier days some times can be harder, as our car park gets so filled with customers.

    Never hated a job more
The good thingsThere is nothing about this job I liked.
The challengesThe management are terrible, they don’t give two damns about their staff. There are no opportunities for development. I’ve never felt so under appreciated by a workplace in my life.
