Modern day slavery job, do it only if you don’t have any other options.
The good thingsThe pay Some friendly co workers
The challengesManager is never happy with what I do, he wants me to work as fast as a robot would. Some co workers are very rude. If I don’t work up to his standard, I am threatened with my job being terminated.

Crew in Townsville are excellent - upper management is below standards
The good thingsWorking with some really good staff in the Townsville branch, the manager and trainers are great.
The challengesThe upper management and HR take a long time to pay out holiday pay. Rosters are very poor so you don't have a life - caused from upper management

Modern Day slavery, look for something else..
The good thingsinitially was a good site to work but progressively went downhill. Current site supervisor is awesome.
The challengesWorking with utterly incompetent, unsuitable, lazy, unmotivated individuals that presented poorly, projecting unprofessionalism while wearing the uniform. Nothing but exploitation, you're just a dog's body, nothing more. No recognition for jobs well done, continually bailing the company out of trouble because they can't retain staff, absolutely no incentives to excel. You're treated as just a faceless employee number on a computer screen, you're paid the award, so just perform to that standard, nothing more.

    Disgusting company to work for.
    The good thingsQuitting my position.
The challengesThe employees you work with, do nothing but try to make you do their job as well as your own. Disgusting company and employees to work with. I'm surprised that people still go to kippa ring shopping centre!

Receptive to feedback, decent management, current norms.
The good thingsVery receptive to feedback, resulting in PPE such as body cameras and stab vests being acquired well before the rest of the industry. Decent management, paid on time, only messed up pay once or twice. Was lucky enough to work with a very supportive client and very good team. Very supportive during critical incidents.
The challengesUltimately the challenges I faced are Security Industry norms, not specific to Trident. Difficult customers, difficult jobs, unrealistic expectations.

Not too bad. Careful what site you choose.
The good thingsWorking with the other Security Officers. Most are great people but it depends on the site you work at.Money can be good outside of the 6am to 6pm time frame.
The challengesI worked firstly at Robina Town Centre. Not a great experience. No training and a Rambo style of way just to remove a person from the Centre. Control room operators (not all) enjoy berating new staff over the radio so everyone can hear. If you want to play tough guys this could be good place or you! On the other hand going to The Smith Collective was a breath of fresh air. Great guards, good training and a good Supervisor.

Not worth working for this company.
The good thingsWages paid on time as per the Fair Work Award rates
The challengesDisrespectful management always running over the staff. Rosters are not professionally managed. No management support for traumatic incident. Blame game.

Avoid this company at all costs. It’s not Trident Security as it used to be which was a good company, this is Trident “services”.
The good thingsSome coworkers, and the site.
The challengesBeing underpaid for a long time, had to go to fair work ombudsman to get what I was owed. Then I was then treated poorly for getting my entitlements, and lied to by management.

Rewarding company who listen to feedback and understand the importance of employee recognition.
The good thingsI’ve had the privilege of working for this company since November 2018 which is now nearing 5 years and I plan to continue working for Trident well into the future. From day one I was welcomed like family and treated as such. This is the first company where I have felt truly valued as an employee and not just a number. I feel grateful to be surrounded by colleagues who are not only talented but also genuinely supportive. The positive and encouraging atmosphere within the company motivates me to do my best every day, knowing that my contributions are always valued and appreciated. It has been great to watch the company grow over these years, and I feel I have contributed to that in some shape or form which makes me proud. I would recommend Trident Services to anyone looking for a company that is innovative, rewarding, inclusive, collaborative, and provides you everyday challenges so that you can grow professionally.
The challengesAdapting to changes in company policies and procedures whilst trying to manage deadlines. With effective communication and problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset these challenges can be overcome easily.

Get in, save your money, find somewhere else and get out
The good thingsYou will succeed or fail as a result of your own work ethic. I got in and got out and taught myself along the way.
The challengesYour just a number, and will be treated as one, no matter what great things you do that will not change. You will be treated and talked to like garbage most of the time, turning up for your next shift will be a struggle most days.

Long term and experienced guards get paid the same as a brand new guard who just got there licence.
The good thingsGoing home after work and the clients.
The challengesThe work load that is expected of you, working duties security level 2 and 3 and being paid for security level 1 duties and no recognition from managers as they dont engage with individual employees only the site managers/supervisors and not employees at the coal face.
