It feels like in a sinking ship. The pay was good but there’s always internal fights. I was not trained properly and left on my own device.
The good thingsThe salary is good but do not expect much support from management.
    The challengesNo support from management

Challenging, efficient, fast paced and busy, High end Medical Practice.
The good thingsThe training. It is fantastic to be trained in a field that is highly demanding. Learning the Medico ethics and software programs of prac soft and medical director. Being the face of the company, and offering exceptional high end customer service for pre medical employment bookings, Work Cover and walk in patients. Working in a \"team environment\" alongside doctors. Feeling needed and appreciated by the public, patients and those that you assisted in a professional and caring environment.
The challengesThe high amount of workload and how much you were getting paid was not sufficient enough to be honest.

While there were the good parts to working at TriStar, it ultimately became a very unorganised and frustrating place to be.
The good thingsRegular patients can be very pleasant to interact with Roster is very flexible Some colleagues can be great to work with
The challengesHead Office tends to slack on doing things such as paying postage & faxing bills, resulting in no correspondence being able to be sent out, they will still be upset with Reception Staff for it. Purchasing very rarely gets an order correct, if it’s even sent out. Anybody above Receptionist level can be quite condescending. Not everyone. Was not trained properly, had to figure out a lot of processes through trial and error. Doctors can choose their own schedule - not always the most efficient way and patients get upset with Reception for this.

The management could consider a more strategic way to run the practice.
The good thingsFun Small team. I gained a lot of knowledge from Tristar. Some colleagues from head office are very helpful. High hours.
The challengesNo Practice Manager. Everything needs to be communicated to the head office which is a pain sometimes. Understaff. We need to cover for the shifts. Sometimes I work all by myself as no one could come.

Very fast paced environment and has some good points, but mostly stressful place to be.
The good thingsI was lucky to work with a lovely bunch
The challengesHead office was hard to communiate with, especially when they are located in another town. Generally people are good to get along with, but when there is a bad egg in the basket, head office does not manage these things well. They are also very disorganised which makes things harder to manage as a team

    Okay
The good thingsSometimes the customers are nice
The challengesThe clients can be very hard to deal with and the company has a massive staff turn over so we tend to not make friends with colleagues because they could be gone really quickly

I found it to be traumatic
The good thingsThe patients and the local clinic team are fabulous.
The challengesDealing with head office in Victoria is a nightmare. They have a policy that EVERYONE is replaceable - said by CEO within hearing range of local staff. Little to no support when issues arise. The welfare of their staff is certainly not a priority.

Enjoyed the role as a Medical Receptionist however the lack of support from management needs addressing. Overall a positive experience working directly with Drs and patients.
The good thingsFlexible working conditions. Excellent Drs.
The challengesNo management at working site and limited contact and support from management causing work place conflict and frustrations.

Been there four years and still going strong
The good thingsGreat work and life balance. Great opportunities provided to those who work hard and put the effort in. A lot of autonomy in role is given.
The challengesSatellite management is not ideal in some occasions. Head office can be out of touch with the clinics and their needs.
