Good luck. This was once my happy place now its given me stress , frustration and I cry alot. 😢
The good thingsMy team mates. And the job.
The challengesLack of leadership, support and care of the current management team. They don't care about you as a person. They'll stay in their offices all day but be sure to tell you what you haven't done. You'll be a replaceable number. Oh and once you advocate for the residents your insubordinate. Good luck if you apply. They're are some beautiful residents.

    One word, DISAPPOINTING!
The good thingsThe clients were wonderful to work with & a joy to be around on a clinical basis.
The challengesToxic office environment Poor reporting system Unapproachable hierarchy Being left out of client reports and walking into situations where clinical information has been dismissed. Being dismissed when giving clinical advice when asked “what could we do”. Having the blame shifted onto myself because that is far easier than confronting their “good staff ”. Staff not being held accountable for their actions & decisions because they are friendly with hierarchy.

Uniting could do significantly better in its employee conditions which are a disincentive to leave other more secure employment.
The good thingsThe people who work directly with patients are generally very caring and inspired by the values of the company.
The challengesThere are really considerable gaps in staff protections at this company. For example they take advantage of industrial law loopholes in having no company policy on employees right to roles that they have been acting in for extensive periods of time.

Great to build Clinical experience - but stay for a short time (a year to know the program) .
The good things- Working with the families and seeing them make significant amount of progress as they feel supported. - The training for introduction to clinical experience. - Having an external supervisor outside the organisation.
The challenges- Team dynamics that lead to team separation. - Inconsistences within the management team that flowed onto the team resulting in team members receiving different treatment compared to members. - lack of flexibility to use TIL (had to be in the fortnight and not be able to store for any appointments)

The good thingsSome amazing people very dedicated to providing amazing support to some of the most venerable people in the community A fantastic CEO,
The challengesThe general environment in the corporate functions is toxic. Too many sacred cows. The executive are great but the some of senior managers in the corporate are toxic and only have their own interests.

Don't go there, absolutely traumatic experience for residents and carers.
The good thingsThe residents are lovely and deserve much more respect and care than what they are receiving.
The challengesBad work culture. Exclusive behaviour from team and humiliation from management and HR extreme. Would not recommend an enemy to work here. Always low on basic needs items, equipment dodgy, food terrible and residents not listened too.

Short Staff, No casual loading on weekends
The good thingsnothing at all, I have nothing good to say.
The challengesWould not recommend to work at all, staff ratio to residents is appalling, will work staff to the ground. Have wasted resources and money on "Homemakers" who are supposed to be team leader but just micromanages staff and do nothing else. Plus they also do not have casual loading for weekends!!!

Toxic work environment with staff being in charge of leadership roles that were clearly not qualified for. I really don't think management cared about staff that had put in complaints either.
The good thingsI honestly cannot think of anything that was good about the facility.
The challengesA toxic work environment that was out of control by the time I decided it was time to leave. Management didn't care about the toxic work culture between workers in the facility and the same toxic staff got away with complaints all the time.

Stay right away from this company.
The good thingsThere is nothing good about working here.
The challengesThe management has no idea of how to conduct a business and some of the staff think their roles are higher than what they are qualified to do. The way people treat others is out of control and management don't care. It's not a very friendly environment to work in.

I would not recommend anyone to work here if they are looking for career advancement and professional development.
    The good thingsFriendly environment
The challengesThe phrase "We are a family" is the initial significant warning sign. Management exhibits a dominant approach, insisting that operations adhere strictly to their preferred way. Productivity remains low, primarily due to excessive discussion and insufficient action. There is a noticeable lack of motivation among employees, long term employees in particular in performing their duties, spending significant amount of their time on socialisation. Some job responsibilities do not align with the intended purpose for the roles. While the work plan seems appealing in theory, it fails to deliver the expected outcome. There is little opportunity for career advancement as management focuses on employees loyalty over performance and skills. Resistance to change is another issue. This environment could destroy career aspirations.

Was heart broken that they were not who I thought they were and that all the values were just talk.
The good thingsThere are some really amazing people doing extraordinary jobs in the organisation.
The challengesThe values seem so wonderful but the executive does not live by them. There is a very political, toxic and competitive culture in the leadership team. They are looking for a way to criticise you and literally watch over your shoulder micromanaging you and trying to find fault. Certainly don't dare raise any concerns or try to improve anything, and pray that no one that you lead makes a mistake, as the executive will throw you under the bus rather than work with you to fix anything. This I promise you. Financial management is adhoc at best which is very concerning with the amount of public funding going through the place. One of the most difficult experiences of my life. It nearly killed me.

Marred by a toxic culture, ineffective leadership, and a lack of genuine values.
The good thingsThe frontline employees in aged care and community services are truly dedicated and compassionate. They are the backbone of the organisation and genuinely care about the people they serve.
The challengesThis organisation leaves much to be desired. It is plagued by a toxic culture with rampant office politics. Despite claiming to be values-led, the reality is quite the opposite—nothing more than virtue signaling. From the top down, you can expect ineffective leadership that is uninspiring, lacks ambition, and breeds mediocrity -seemingly just waiting for retirement and showing little motivation to contribute effectively - driving many of the talented people out of the organisation.

The good thingsGreat connections to elderly. Great communication between care workers.
The challengesMangement arent supportive to caseworkers, they do not listen to our feedback on what is not working. You are doing several job roles in one which was not in Job description. To many residents, not enough care workers.

    Glad I am out
The good thingsA good organisation when I started - it decayed over time - amazing amount of politics and chicanery especially at a senior level - expect minimal support from above - the front line staff are amazing and really support those in need in our state - it is surprising that they can get anything done with the way they are treated from the most senior levels
The challengesEveryday justifying your job. Lack of support. Lack of understanding and lack of empathy from the top down. A culture that seems to encourage the type if behaviour that all the leadership training tells us not to do.
