The challengesPressure, but this only benefits you in the end.

I enjoyed it for the first year and then it got worse each month after that.
The good thingsDepends on the team you are in.
The challengesSenior leaders have no clue what it takes to run a successful business. Huge egos driving them to make decisions based on personal feelings instead for the benefit of the organisation, employees and shareholders. Blinkers on...short term view only.

    The most toxic workplace.
The good thingsIt was good at first. There were some good colleagues but most of them or were made to (due to internal politics), then culture became toxic.
The challengesThe most toxic work culture. Fellow managers make up lies and spreads it around like fake news. Their staff follow their lead. Together, they gang up on other managers and staff specially those who are not in the room. Separately, they turn on each other behind their backs. If you have any decent values or respect for other people, it would be hard to thrive there.

Do 6 months get your tickets and move on.
The good thingsYou’ll receive some good licences and tickets that directly transfer to other jobs.
The challengesDon’t expect career development aside from what they want you to do, every technician will be placed in a box where they will remain. there’s very little technical support, extremely green inexperienced workforce due to huge turnover rate all the way through from management to site based roles, the few experienced workers tend to be very bitter and angry toward the company but they have nowhere to go so just stay in that role adding to the problem. Poor leadership from the site supervisors they micromanage to the extreme, hard work is not appreciated it is only rewarded with more hard work leading to burnout, expect to work well outside the boundaries of your trade qualification. Toxic culture throughout the entire company which flows down from management. All this wrapped in the allusion of clean, green, happy renewable energy but the cracks will quickly start to show. Keep looking if your not desperate, There’s a reason vestas has a lot of jobs advertised and a lot of bad reviews.

The most toxic place I have ever worked!
The good thingsThere are no good things
The challengesVestas - sets you up to fail from the beginning!. Lack of onboarding, lack of training, incompetant management, lack of direction, lack of planning, lack of consistant leadership, each department works in a silo with absolutely no idea what other departments are doing, management constantly pass the buck, turnover of staff is astounding because they treat their workers so badly. You are, and will only ever be a number to them. Policies and Procedures driven from a global level with no relevance or input from a local level. Toxic people in high places who only succeed by stepping on others to get there.

Okay at first but in the long run, you cannot survive the workload as it was not realistic.
The good thingsFriendly workmates, benefits were good too.
The challengesToo much workload and overtime. If you are looking for a work life balance, this company is not for you.

    Leave ASAP
The good thingsOrdinary staffs are friendly and interesting
The challenges Incompetent managers micromanages everything.no management system in department/company. It feels like regardless of your professional role, you're primarily reduced to a secretary, focused on repetitive and low-value administrative tasks. The absence of meaningful work and the high turnover rate are more significant than anticipated.

Great work but no life. If only they would change then I'd give them more stars.
The good thingsGreat work and I love the challenge. You are your own boss and help make the decision.
The challengesYou don't have a life. AT ALL. Be prepared to give up your family and friends because vestas is life. Great if your single but still hard being away for months on end. You won't see you kids grow up and they don't care because someone else is ready to step into the position. Even if it's for a short time.

    Lucky to work here!
The good thingsHaving only recently joined the team at Vestas, I have nothing but good things to say. The people I am working with are fantastic and very respectful of other people’s roles and responsibilities understanding that people’s priorities differ. The scope and variety that is upcoming is exciting and they are committed to finding the right people for the job therefore flexibility is being encouraged and quickly becoming the 'norm'.
The challengesThe environment at Vestas is ever changing which requires to you be able to adjust seamlessly and think on your feet.

    Don't work here!
The good thingsOpportunity to support renewables. Like minded people who want to support renewables.
The challengesInept on-boarding and induction process. Poorly structured and understaffed projects. A standard (40 hour) week in construction is more like 65 hours. Advertised permanent role was just until the end of project. Site communications systems rollout was poor, frustrating to use.
