Really enjoyed my time working with Village Roadshow and would give it a try in the opportunity came up.The good thingsCan be a great place to work if you're with the right people, each team and area has enough control to set their own culture and the sector that I worked in (IT Helpdesk) was great, I looked forward to coming into work everyday. The benefits are great, can be used on friends and family and aren't just limited to movie tickets for Head office staff.
The challengesThere is a moderate departmental power struggle, even somewhat within the teams in each department. There is limited room for growth once you get into the company, if you're starting at a Junior or mid level expect for an external person to be brought in over you if an opportunity arises. In other words you need to be over qualified before you'll be considered, rather than close enough when it comes to promotions.
