Great Vehicles & that's about it!
The good thingsWork life balance. Remuneration.
The challengesThe Aftersales leadership team, is dominated by a group of unquestioning “yes-people,” largely shaped by individuals who demonstrates a clear lack of emotional intelligence and professional self-awareness. Challenge or alternative viewpoints are discouraged and, in some cases, met with poor business etiquette. Senior Management functions as a closed, insular group that prioritises self-protection and mutual promotion, advancing its own interests while demonstrating limited consideration for the wellbeing, development, or concerns of those reporting to them. Additionally, the organisation operates with a Germany-centric mindset, showing little regard for the needs, realities, or feedback of the wider retailer network and end customers. Undermines both employee wellbeing and business performance. Great Salary, which is the only reason staff remain with the brand. Retention is driven by compensation rather than engagement, culture, or effective leadership.

There is potential if the management team listen to their employees.
The good thingsThe work / life balance was good with job-share being offered to accomodate. The package is quite good with a car included.
The challengesThe management team when I worked at Volkswagen were very domineering and and autocratic. There was little opportunity to offer ideas without being spoken down to.

No career growth prospects, good company car perks
The good thingsNice people, good company car lease program, fun company sponsored events
The challengesThere seems to be no progress and clear vision for adapting to future digital retail channels. Lack of transparency with management and team members. No clear pathways to promotion or growth. HR team is unreliable. Ambitious people leave after a year and the only people left will stay for the rest of their careers. Almost half of the employees are contractors to keep costs low since management salaries are so high.

Not a place for the faint hearted and most people never stay longer than 12 mths.
The good thingsLease car program, however you still end up paying top dollar. Easy to get to location in Sydney.
The challengesThey say they're all focussed on the customer but they really aren't. Culture within the Customer Experience Centre is absolutely appalling. Everyone is faking it til they make it. No structured training or coaching provided. Management keep everything tight lipped so it does not reach higher management. Lots of cliques and lots of alliances. Everyone only succeeds if you are perceived fitting enough for their opinion of you.
