I met some good people working here. I enjoyed my job and the challenge everyday. enjoyed the salary more. I did not enjoy the constant challenges from some of the team talking behind my back and the jealousy. If you are a casual, watch you back, you are not safe in this place and they will drop you without any question if they desire. I do not recommend working here but the money was good, so if you need money then apply.
The good thingsRDO every second Friday, Salary is good and some of the people were good to work with
The challengesLoaded with difficult people to deal with. If you are casual you have no support at all. To many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

Stay away - not worth your time!
The good thingsIf you get overtime, its well worth it. RDO every second Friday.
The challengesThe team leaders run the factory. Anyone else doesn't help, know or cares. If there is an issue, its really hard to get help. The team leaders are the ones problem solving and having to deal with all issues. Team leaders don't have access to anything. There's no parts and you hardly build any trucks

Mixed bag at best, maybe if the location is convenient?
The good thingsWell known trusted brand, strong ethics, leading the way with environmentally sustainable practices and manufacturing. Central office is western suburbs, clean and accessible.
The challengesSweden controls too many business decisions, local management has allowed ego centric narcissist managers to divide and conquer the teams to feather their own nests. Rolling redundancies every two or so years, no regard for middle/lower management staff.

The good thingsGreat leadership team, love the location, nice office with sit/stand desks for everyone, brilliant culture within the team and people around the office and really enjoy working with people from around the globe.
The challengesSome decisions can be slow given they have to go through Sweden.

Great business, engrained into every supply chain globally - very profitable, environmentally conscious and noble in its pursuits for a sustainable future.
The good thingsInnovative environment, global presence, career development, focused on sustainability, true work-life balance and a diverse and inclusive Culture.
The challengesVolvo is a large and matrix organisation with headquarters in Sweden that lead the group. Navigating this environment can be challenging at times.

It's great having a multi-national with a HQ in Brisbane. There's not a lot of opportunity for such an experience.
The good thingsGreat flexibility, able to manage own schedule, good managers and a culture of being treated like an adult. You are expected to do your job, but there is also opportunities to grow outside your role.
The challengesThe location (Wacol) is away from amenities, there is a cafe on site but not a lot of choice.

Top Company to work for, Would happily return to work for them.
The good thingsVolvo Group was an excellent place to work for, Excellent product and training. Had the opportunity to work in the factory for a couple of weeks and also worked in a bus factory for a period with them.
The challengesThere were some differences between staff when the Volvo side merged with Mack in Newcastle, But they were overcome pretty easily. I had issues with a service manager who didn't understand the trucking industry, so left.
